Lucky to have found this gem. Tasty food & their aguas frescas are delicious. Will continue to support this restaurant. Picture of my chicken mole enchiladas

La Parilla is an undercover banger with no frills that just entices you to keep coming back. The folks here are incredibly friendly and the food is a masterclass on how to consistently serve up fresh and delicious Mexican greasy spoon hole-in-the-wall classics.

Chips still had grease on them. Salsa was okay. Carne asada tasted freezer burt. Tortillas was store bought. Black beans didn't eat. Rice had no flavor. None of the food we order was good.

Went for first time today after I saw a posting from them on Nextdoor. The atmosphere could use an update but, unlike a lot of Portland restaurants, everybody was so so nice. But even better the tacos that I ordered were absolutely heavenly! The spicy red sauce was was an afterthought for me but I figured I would try it and it was delicious. La Parrilla has plenty of indoor seating with TVs going and some outdoor seating as well. I think I found my new favorite taco spot.. but they had plenty more for me to try.

Struggled with whether this spot should get 3 or 4 stars. The food was good, I had a veggie burrito and was pleasantly surprised that they included potatoes in it. The chips and guacamole were very good, albeit a little bit oily. But.. they never gave me a fork. Or knife. Or water. I had to go up to the counter and ask for a fork several minutes after my food was set down, having assumed it would come after the food. Then I asked the waitress for a glass of water and she said she'd bring one, but never did. Just kind of odd and they weren't busy, only 3 other tables were taken. Like I said, the food was pretty good, I just don't know that I would come back.

Delicious little hole in the wall that my friend and I stumbled upon near her school. I think they were getting ready to close, but graciously served us and gave great service. We got the carne asada nachos and the carnitas chimichanga. Both were amazing!

I'm recovering from surgery, so my family picked me up a La Parilla Bowl with fish (no dairy), & it was delicious! The restaurant was accommodating to my dairy sensitivity, & they said they didn't have to wait long for the food to be prepared. It tasted fresh & authentic, & I was pleasantly surprised that I came with multiple pieces of fish. My family enjoyed their quesadilla & burrito, so we'll definitely pick up take away again soon!

¡Me encanta este restaurante! The burritos at La Parrilla Kitchen are truly delicious and profoundly comforting. This is the place I go for self-care takeout: reasonably priced, reasonably fast, very flavorful, and the service is so friendly!

Super good! Their Guacamole Chipotle Chicken Burrito is delicious. Tons of flavor, huge, and looks even better than the photo on the wall!
