To this day, I have still not had a better Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It is absolutely to die for. They have a lot of other great stuff on the menu as well, and they always have a good beer selection. Reasonably priced and delicious!

The rare time I choose a sandwich over a taco, Lardo is where I go! This time around I went for the Korean Pork Shoulder and Dirty Fries, it did not disappoint.

Their sandwiches go hard — big flavors, lots of texture, and kinda addictive. I tried the Korean pork one, and every bite had this sweet-spicy thing happening. Casual counter service, loud music, people coming and going nonstop. Feels very Portland in a fun way.

One of my favorite places in Portland — I’ve eaten nearly every sandwich. Every single thing is great. You can tell the staff really cares about their product and customers.

I’ve been to lots of restaurants, cities, countries. I eat lots of food. These are some of the best sandwiches in the world. Especially the pho-rench dip. Argue with a wall.

Loved the opportunity to visit Lardos during a recent trip to PDX. Everything from the fries to the sandwiches were amazing.

Delicious food. Good service. Just a quick update. Haven't been here in years. Pandemic really changed old habits. On a whim I decided to order Lardo through a delivery service. Had my usual dirty fries. Fantastic. But the stand out was the grilled cheese and birria. So delicious! Consomme was perfect. I will not be staying away for so long!

I think this place is very overrated for the sandwiches it serves. The cubano (although there was a lot of meat inside) just seemed a little flavourless? The beeria grilled cheese was better but also the same issue - it lacked flavour and was quite greasy. The lardo fries (ordered the dirty fries but was given the wrong order) were so salty - not sure if it was an off day but they were basically inedible. Unfortunately, I think these sandwiches photograph really well online, but in reality they are very average.

Also unsure why it is expected to leave a tip when the service is the equivalent of fast food restaurants (go up to order, get own drinks, clean up table). The only service that is provided is that the meal is brought to you.

Hit or miss. This time we got a special, the PBLT (pork belly, lettuce and tomato) which was $16. Well, this was decidedly not a $16 sandwich and not up to Lardo’s usual standard. A very thin slice of pork belly (might as well have been bacon), some tomato, lots of lettuce and unimpressive ciabatta bread. It most reminded me of something you’d pay $16 at an airport (and I don’t mean PDX) for, and be okay because it would be the best of a really bad bunch - but in a place where there are so many much better food options, this was disappointing and a ripoff at that.
Drinks were ok (cocktail and a draft beer), the other sandwich we got (the $18 Porchetta) was also a bit lackluster, kind of a downgrade from its heyday; it seems like these sandwiches come with less meat these days.
The Cacio e Pepe tater tots were lukewarm by the time we got them because they’d timed them poorly with the rest of our food.
$65 total. Kind of a waste of money for what we got.
