Not many steak places can or are willing to try to cook a steak well done. Laurelhurst Market consistently puts other steak places to shame in that category. My server recommended which cut of beef would cook up the best when cooked well done. She was spot on. She also was able to accurately recommend a wine with less acidity and happily not only gave me a taste first, but was able to accommodate to my need for half a glass rather than a full glass. My partner ordered the same cut of meat as I had but had his cooked medium well and he too was very happy with how it was cooked. This is a class act place with teamwork among staff and excellent tasting and visually appealing plates of food. Dessert was an array of scrumptious edibles and a birthday candle was put on top per the staff's careful observation of the reservation mentioning it. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star for service was because we finished our bottle of water (an appreciated nice touch to have on the table) and there was no timely refilling opportunity. And if I can correct my ranking, I'd up the service to a 5 star as well. A wonderful lowkey but top notch restaurant.
Been here a few times for birthday celebrations. Always been great, but this time around my steak tasted bland and was burnt. Left a burnt crunchy taste. Everything else was ok but like I said just an experience unlike the others
The food was great! We sat in the heated patio while it was in the low 30's outside and it was decently warm.
High quality and well sourced steaks. Cooked as we ordered. Both the ribeye and the herb crusted flat iron were superb. Our waiter was attentive, kind, and helpful.
Great food, great service. While not inexpensive, the quality of the food is extremely high, and the bill was lower than I might've expected. Great value for a fantastic meal. Everyone was super happy we chose LH market.
Excellent as always!! We love you all so much. Makes my husband's birthday so memorable every year after 13 years coming here annually!♥️

Sit at the bar! I went for dinner by myself and happened to end up learning things about the menu and trying some delicious egg nog desert beverage all from the bartender. The steak and greens salad was ABSOLUTELY amazing.

Where do I start. We came for a family celebration including our 21 month old granddaughter. They have a steak on the kids menu! The service was fabulous: friendly and attentive. And the food was divine! It was a perfect experience.

This place is great - good food, good meat case with hard-to-get things like pate's and rilletes. It deserves its stars.
Quick note to Louisiana folks looking for Boudin - the Louisiana Boudin is ok. Probably won't tickle your itch (saying this as someone who routinely stuffs a suitcase full of boudin every time he goes home). I don't know quite why, but it just isn't the same. It's paler in color for a smoked boudin. It looks like fresh boudin. It definitely has smoke but the character of the smoke is different. It's perhaps a different wood? It otherwise has the appearance of boudin but the flavor just doesn't ring like back home. I noticed the meat stands out a lot (its pink in big chunks) and in Louisiana I find the meat/rice tend to become a single thing. At any rate I end up getting some everytime I'm there and I'm always a little dissappointed. Also the brisket andouille is very good but not usable in classic dishes (like red beans) unless you really want its distinct brisket flavor.

Great time as always!! Staff is warm, funny and knowledgeable. This visit scratched the itch for a late dinner/burger. Even though we went for the meat, that squash salad haunts me..with the harissa vin and duck crispies..I could eat that every day. I want to. The cocktails were perfection. The rum, banana liqueur and peanut beverage sounds like a carnival ride yet still so balanced and intentional. Obsessed!! Congrats to the management. Job well done. You and your team check all the boxes, scratch all the itches and create a special experience. As always, thank you.
Always a treat. All the dishes from the appetizers to desert are perfectly execute and full of flavor
