I spotted this joint unexpectedly and stopped in for a late lunch. Holy smokes! I've got a new favorite bbq spot. The pork ribs, the brisket, the mac n cheese, the beans... I don't remember exactly what I spent but I remember thinking, dang, that's very reasonable! And I was seriously impressed with the portions, the quality, the friendly service, the clean and welcoming atmosphere... I don't think you could possibly go wrong here, it's really great all around. Was a little sad that they didn't have sweet tea (was told it wasn't selling enough so they stopped offering it... That's the stupid PNW for ya) but wow... Everything else well made up for that in my opinion. I'm no longer missing Russell Street. This place certainly satisfies.

My bf and I got the lawless platter that had offered a little bit of everything. Our favorite was the brisket. We also got collard greens and Mac and cheese for the side. It was pretty average, not something super spectacular. The collard greens had a biter after taste I wasn’t too fond so that threw me off just a bit. Overall experience we enjoyed it and would come back.

We are regulars here and love the Lawless Burger and the Burnt Ends sandwich with waffle fries. Excellent service and food!
The service is phenomenal, the girl with the pigtails is so warm and one of my favorite parts of coming in, and the BBQ is to die for. I work nearby and I always love coming in to grab lunch. Especially the burnt ends Sando. This is the friendliest price for BBQ in Portland that I've found.
