Lol, these ladies are fun. They were pulling my leg from the moment I came to the counter 😂
I'm from the deep South so grew up with this food. Let me tell ya, it's legit. EVERYTHING we had was killer. The Taste of New Orleans was a sampler and we loved it all. The corn pudding is a must-try.
The homemade fresh-fruit daiquiris were very tasty and strong.
We can't wait to get back here.

FANTASTIC FOOD!! Hands down best jambalaya I have EVER had!! This little cafe’ ought to have a line around the block! I passed by a few times and tonight I got curious and stopped in. WOW!!!
I had the red beans & rice, collard greens, crawfish étouffée, jambalaya plate and oh man!!! The crawfish étouffée was delicious and I went home thrilled to have gone in. I WILL be back.
Oh - a tip for anyone ordering delivery, keep in mind how fried food travels when boxed and if that bothers you, order yourself some jambalaya instead. You’ll freak out it’s so good. I’m trying the jambalaya pasta next time!

Cannot comment on service or atmosphere - but we had a delivery from Uber eats last night.
Let me start off by saying the catfish was literally one piece. And it was barely battered, soggy, and covered in some sort of sauce on one side.
Anyone and I mean anyone who has ever eaten a piece of fried catfish knows that for the optimal experience your fish needs to be well battered and well fried. Not soggy and skimpy.
I was beyond shocked that anyone could sign off on a piece of food someone paid for like that. It looked like something from the fridge from the night before.
Pasta was good, good portion. Fries well seasoned. But the catfish is unforgivable. Won’t be returning.

I ordered off of Uber eats on the online menu it says( pork boudin links not link) I received 1 link for 10.99 collard greens was about 4 bites for 6.99 definitely not worth it! Might be different for others but this was my experience mental note recorded.

Super nice woman behind the counter, very friendly and personable! Gave us recommendations for our first visit, so we all ordered the blackened chicken alfredo, which was delicious. Easily a two or three meal serving. When they tell you to order multiple beignets, take their advice, you will absolutely go back for seconds and the flavor will live rent free in your head!

Have to say one of the best places out there in Portland! Me and the wife went out for Sunday date. You will feel welcomed once you enter the restaurant that staff is friendly and kind helped us with ordering. This place makes their food with love and you will taste it with every bite. Wife ordered blacken chicken pasta. I ordered the catfish, best catfish ever. We will definitely be coming back.
