We LOVE this place. Best hushpuppies in PDX. The crawfish etoufee is fantastic and they have the best King Cakes in town for Mardi Gras. They're so friendly and fun as well. I hope more and more people check them out.

This place is amazing! The food was incredible. But the service really set this place apart. The owner and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Best experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Support great businesses like this.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! If you want GREAT FOOD and GREAT SERVICE WITH LOVE CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!!!! AND they CATER!!!!By far one of the best places in Portland. The food is exceptional. The flavors that hit the pallet are fresh, clean and extreme excitement in every bite. I had the privilege of meeting Dede, who greets you with the biggest smile. She has such a beautiful personality and soul. I just wanted to sit and talk more with her. You feel the warmth of love from the moment you walk in and see Dede. Andrea, the owner, is the other strong, smart, highly educated woman that I had the privilege of meeting. These two women made me feel super loved and cared about, like family. Leaving the restaurant was hard because I have met two GREAT, STRONG, INTELLIGENT and TALENTED WOMAN that I ADMIRED on a different level. I have LOTS of respect for these two beautiful woman. I will be back for sure and will bring friends and family! A home cooked meal away from home and excellent prices! They will NOT let you down. I promise!!! Much love to them!!

I had the catfish, collard greens, and hushpuppies. It was served fresh, made to order, and hot. The catfish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The greens were flavorful and not overcooked like can happen. The hushpuppies were fluffy and crunchy. Everything so good. Great service and wonderful atmosphere.Thank you so much

Delicious food and caring service! We had the poutine and blackened chicken Alfredo pasta - absolutely hit the spot and were full of flavor. They also have a dessert case of pie and cake slices, and the kind woman who was working today mentioned she’d be bringing out some fresh peach cobbler soon. We rook slices to go and I can’t want to try with some vanilla ice cream! Definitely check this place out if you want some authentic soul food!

The best New Orleans style of food I've had outside of actual NOLA. This place is absolutely delicious. Tasty, rich, and well flavored food without being too heavy. You can tell time and love goes into their cooking. Also good for those who haven't yet tried New Orleans southern style cuisine since they have a tasting platter menu item. The desserts are heavenly too! The staff is warm and fun! Highly recommend.

Stopped by for lunch. Tried the New Orleans Sampler where I got collard greens, jambalya, crawfish etouffee, and red beans & rice. The jambalya was outstanding. Greens were tender and well seasoned. Etouffee was creamy. Try the cucumber lemonade was simply superb!Angela, owner, was very accommodating. She made us feel wonderful.
