The food was fabulous—especially the beef brisket empanadas. Great service and atmosphere.

Good for first timers, especially eating at Portland downtown. The food size is fine but don't expect a bit plate when going for solo plates. Good for moderate hunger!😊

Food was great! It was a little loud but otherwise a great experience. I wasn't super thrilled with the dessert options but otherwise a great menu. Wish they were open on Sunday.

Amazing food, including some of the best steak I have ever eaten. Beautiful jellyfish and fish tanks inside, helpful and happy staff. This was my best dining experience in Portland by far.

really a great restaurant. We had the tasting menu and it was delicious with paired wines. Ella was an outstanding server with complete knowledge and an engaging manner.

Had a great time celebrating a birthday. Ordered desserts with pairings & it was a perfect compliment

Overall the food was excellent, with highlights being the fried chicken pieces, flank steak, gaucho bread, beef empanadas. The server was perhaps spread a little thin - it was packed on a Monday! So it seemed like we were forgotten a bit as we were seated in the back, which is somewhat quieter. Really all the food and flavors are excellent. The one miss on our order was probably the prawns - 4 prawns with more shell than meat, and $23 for very few bits didn't seem worth the deshelling work or cost. This restaurant was very loud and quite dark, which was more of struggle for my parents although they loved the food. I hadn't been there since pre-Covid days but was happy it was still doing so well and had such wonderful food.

I booked this for my parents anniversary dinner. They had never been before. My mom has alot of allergies and I knew they would be taken care of at LeChon. They always take special care to notice the small things! They started with complimentary champagne. They ordered all of the things I recommended; empanadas, scallops, jicama salad, ribs and lomo and said each dish was better than the last. I have been here many times, it's my favorite restaurant in Portland and its fabulous EVERY TIME. Last time I was in, I visited with someone who wasn't drinking, they have a spirit free cocktail list and his old fashion was one of the best, without alcohol. If you're never been, you must try!!

I’m giving Lechon one star because I had reservations for my boyfriends birthday but they closed the restaurant for the night. They did not call people with reservations to inform, so we dropped my kid with a babysitter, paid for parking and then saw the sign on the front door. I also called many times to discuss how they could make it right and never got a call back. Yikes!

Foods are mediocre compared to the price you pay. Service is great. Table is a bit small for 2 to sit when most 2 persons definitely order lot of plates.
Still go back for sure!

Food is great
Portions are small
Very expensive (we spent about $40 p/p without alcohol)
Staff very friendly
Lighting and aesthetics are nice
Very loud
Small space, crammed
We sat at a high table near the kitchen, chairs were uncomfortable
Music too loud
Difficult to have a conversation
Menu hard to understand
Parking was about $20

Parking: If you are cheap.. meters end at 7. But it may be challenging to find a street spot.

It’s a trap. Food looks great, location’s vibe on the hip side, but flavor was same as average food truck… and you’ll smell like deep fried parmesan bread after you leave.

We had the ceviche with over-powering mango, supposedly crispy pork bao but it was just brick hard (had some flavor tho!), and Peruvian chicken that was dripping with mayo-infused hot honey flavoring (probably best dish of the three)

Our waiter was a great guy and food came pretty quick.

It was kinda bad… be honest. I ordered shrimp salad, mushroom, the smoked bone marrow, and the octopus. They are fine, just the smoked bone marrow was horrible, I don’t see any meat at the bone, like non… so what’s the point of it? And then just a pancake something with a sauce, it’s kinda bad… the mushroom was the good the egg with the toasted bread.
