Originally familiar with this chain from Las Vegas. Doesn't have the window where you can watch them make the bread, but definitely hits the same quality. The baguettes are the best I've had in Portland to date - nice snap on the crust, soft in the middle.

The person who I ordered didn’t tell me that I have to wait for 2hr to get my breads. After I have waited for 30 minutes, they told me it’s my fault that I didn’t hear the announcement from them. Please don’t speak English if you can understand Vietnamese. Using English to respond my Vietnamese is unacceptable, especially we’re both Vietnamese.

Today I was there to buy baguettes and the guy said to wait for 5 minutes. I was okay with that and paid I gave them $6 even but the baguettes only $5.98 so they didn’t give me the change back. I sat there and waited for a while (about 10 minutes) then they ask me if I was waiting for baguettes? I said yes he said you have to wait 20 more minutes. I didn’t want to wait so I asked them to give me a refund they gave me the exactly $5.98. I told him I gave $6.00 then he got mad.I’m not writing this to complain about the 2 cents, but rather the poor customer service.

This restaurant is filled with cigarette smoke. There’s a butt can just outside the front door. There was three guys smoking right out the door and cigarette smoke was getting pulled into the restaurant. I told them what they were doing and they ignored me. One of the guys turned out to work here.Hard to tell if my sandwich tasted good with cigarette smoke in my nose.Nasty, absolutely nasty.Recommend getting your food to go.I recommend Lee’s remove that butt can. You can see it in my picture I’m posting with this.

I only stumbled across Lee's because I picked up an order for somebody's coffees. Even those people who frequent this establishment for their coffee delivery hadn't The faintest of idea. Behind the unassuming and patriotic coloring of the entrance door you can't help but notice the abundance of enormous and pristine industrial looking equipment back behind the counter. This is where the magic happens. If in your world, carb is King, You're only doing yourself an injustice by not checking this place out! If you sworn off carbs for the rest of your life, you may want to reconsider and check this place out!!!!

Lees sandwiches sold gifts cards but does no longer accept them. The cashier offers to give credit for 50% of the value. Don’t get scammed.

Compared to Best Baguette…Lee’s is hands down the better banh mi shop in SE PDX. Great customer service, bread is fresh—and not too flakey, their tables are clean—and so are their restrooms. Overall, it’s like a night and day difference between the two shops and my first pick will always be Lee’s.
