Good stuff- one of the best Chinese bakeries we are aware of- authentic. We lived in the Bay and took a couple years to try out spots- this spot has the best grab and go. Yummy baked pork bun, green onion hot dog bun, and steamed pork bun. Portuguese egg tarts also good. Good cheap eats!

So happy I found this gem of a local asian bakery! I was looking for authentic Sesame Balls and have found them here! Tried a couple of other things as well, and oh my, so yummy!!! Freshly made pastries. Great prices. Very friendly staff.

Side note: Might be worth calling in to make sure they have Sesame Balls if it’s towards the end of the day.

I’ve been visiting this little bakery for years, even before the new owners took over, and it continues to be a comforting. One of the things I cherish most about this place is how it connects generations. My grandma lives in a nearby nursing home, and I stop by to pick up a few treats for her. The moment she takes a bite, especially of the egg tarts or red bean buns, her face lights up with memories from her younger days. There’s something powerful and healing about food like that. It's not just a snack; it's a story, a moment, a reminder of home.

Personally, I can’t get enough of the egg tarts, both the traditional and caramelized versions. The crust is flaky and tender, and the filling is silky smooth. When they’re still warm from the oven, they’re absolutely divine. The custard buns and red bean buns are just as comforting, each bite familiar and satisfying.

Stopped by for the first time today and I cannot wait to go back! I got a BBQ pork bun, hot dog and onion bun, red bean bun, and an egg tart. Literally every single one of them was fantastic. Pillowy soft, fresh, and full of flavor. Prices were great too!

I think I just found the best Egg Tarts in Portland. The crust is so flaky & delicious. They have 2 different ones but personally i loved Portuguese style egg start better but both were really good.

Since Gary's went under, I discovered these new bakery owners and it is excellent. Great people. Great bakery staff. Excellent selections. Always fresh early in the day because the turnover on all the baked goods is high. With all the customers coming in and out. Everything is good here

My only real complaint is having to deal with all the cigarette smoke to get in the door.
