Good pizza shop, counter-service. Check the website for their happy hour specials (starting from 11a), where they offer a basic pie for about $8.00. It's busy and the seats are extremely crowded together, but the food is good. Our wait for our food was about 15 minutes. If you just happen to be snacking up and down Nob Hill (or day drinking), this is a great spot to stop at to get some food.

I would say that they have all the ingredients to succeed. However, the first step is always to have a competent pizza maker. After I ordered, I sat and watched as this person over-floured the dough and stretched it incorrectly, resulting in a flat and lifeless crust. They kept adding wood to an already too-hot fire, which caused burning and collapsing of the gluten, ultimately leading to a greasy and bubble-less pie. The sauce and cheese were tasteless, and the basil they used was minimal and stale with no flavor. Sadly, this is no longer an authentic pizza shop; it has become just another American themed place.
There are ways to return to making a proper pie, but it starts with having skilled pizza makers. As an Italian, I give your Margherita pizza a zero. Shameful pizza-making! On a positive note, the service was good!

What do we really like about this place? Excellent service, tasty vegan toppings, very good crust. I called ahead to order a pie to take home and have dietary restrictions. The woman who handled my call was very gracious when she helped me select toppings. This is a nit, and I really would like to rate them 4 1/2. Make sure that you order a "light bake" because their regular bake has more burnt spots than we like. But we really like this place and will return when we're in the neighborhood.

You can make a good pizza without the cheese and it’s perfectly good
Saw some Reddit posts that recommended this place. Pretty solid pizza; I ordered the Salami & Mama’s Lil Peppers. Definitely leans more on the sweeter side but has a nice kick to it. Service was good & it was pretty empty on a Tuesday night.

They discontinued the ability to get their Happy Hour Pizza for online ordering and it was the only affordable thing we could get here!
The pizza is great and they have incredibly fresh ingredients. The price point is perfect for the quality, they could honestly charge more. The only flavor that didn’t come through was the pepperoni. But the others made up for it.
There is one big downside, you have to bus your own table. I kind of hate that. I’m paying and tipping, I don’t want to have to do everything. Overall it’s awesome and great seating outside if it’s nice out.

In town for a conference and this pizza was top notch. If you like wood fired pizza, I highly recommend it. Cook with the bright green hair was extremely friendly and enjoyed his job.
