So I show up around 2 on a Friday and he’s out of all the chicken. He could tell by the look on my face that I was disappointed (not necessarily with the chx being out, people dig this place and bought him out, but with how my week and day had been going) and he gave me a huge portion of everything else and wouldn’t take my money. Aside from this man being extremely generous…. THE FOOD WAS FRICKIN AWESOME!!! When I’m back in town I will most definitely be visiting here again and repaying the kindness. Thank you so much not just for the food but your act of kindness changed my day. Much love to this place

Finally made it here. I love Hawaiian plate lunch and this was great! Loved the Guava Chicken, and the pork. Mochiko Chicken next time! The owner was great too...we talked Cali Roots and the Green. Don't miss it....tucked in the flower shop parking lot! Mahalo, Nolan!!

So he sells till he's sold out everyday he is open. Follow him on Instagram & Facebook. I believe there you can get a more accurate closed time each day.I drive from NortEast Portland myself. It's so worth it.
