Monkey bread was a little hard but I did go late in the day, would probably be very good when fresh baked.

The order was wrong. Items online are not on the menu. What's on the menu was not available and they made a substitution without knowing. Cashier not properly trained. Disappointing experience.

5 inch sub was $17. Price isn’t listed on the board so I was expecting something cheaper- I went ahead once I was told the price, expecting a large sandwich. I was stunned to see a small 5inch or 6 inch sub handed to me. After tipping this was over $20. A bakery sandwich has no business being this expensive

Any sandwich place in the city would give you more for less.

The Great North is my favorite coffeeshop in St Johns! They roast their own beans and their americanos and lattes are exceptional! And if you’re hungry, their breakfast sandwiches are delicious! All the baristas are welcoming and friendly and I enjoy chatting with them while waiting for my coffee. if you’ve never been to the Great North, you should definitely check it out.

I recently visited for a friend’s birthday and we had a wonderful experience. I was able to get in contact with the owner, Matt, to reserve a table in advance. They had reservation signs especially made and set out for us, and were so accommodating the entire time. The food and coffee is always incredible, and we will definitely be returning!

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Lovejoy pastries used to be among the best in town. Now they look and taste like something you’d get at the airport. Chocolate croissants are tiny and burnt, Kouign-amann has no caramelization or sweetness.

Food is decent and the staff is friendly but the management is absolutely terrible. Juan Carlos has no idea how to run a store and is rude.

Lovejoy Bakers was one of my favorite places to get a sandwich in the pearl, mainly due to the decent prices for the neighborhood and proximity to my home. They have friendly staff + clean location, no notes.

It would be a 5 star in my book. But recently, they overhauled their menu, replaced a great sandwich or two, and increased pricing 1-5$ per sandwich. Which is fine, change happens. The main issue I have is they removed the prices from the menu board. This is a little deceptive.

I would not have paid 16$ for this sandwich, that was kind of mid. I figured they would be similarly priced to before the overhaul, but I was wrong.

I get it, inflation comes for us all... but I think I'll be walking a few minutes further down the street for more bang for buck and clear pricing practices.

I'm not understanding the low ratings, fortunately. I went there for the first time this weekend, and the food was AMAZING. I got a breakfast sandwich, and my partner got the french toast. We also got the everything croissant, chocolate croissant, and a loaf of olive bread. The food was fresh and full of flavor. The olive bread is still super soft and fresh. I love this place, and I'll absolutely be back. We finished eating around 11, and the line was out the door.
