More than kid-friendly. The menu is authentic, and plating is gorgeous. The pre-mixed Old Fashioned is also a treat.

So good! The hype is real. I've heard great things about this restaurant, and we ordered takeout before getting there in person. Doordash blundered our order and the manager was SO KIND and helpful getting everything sorted out.

It was so worth the wait. The sauces, dough, vegetables - all cooked to perfection. Everything was SO TASTY! You can tell how much care they put into every detail. We look forward to eating here again and again.

We had a reservation for 6. Everyone enjoyed their choice of food items, and the food quality was excellent. The restaurant was very busy, so our waiter was not always available, but that was not his fault. He was very busy with his other tables also. It is not a place to go to have an intimate conversation, due to the background noise. But I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Our dinner at Lucca was excellent. Three of us had a lovely dinner; the pasta was perfectly cooked with well flavored sauces. One of us ordered a pizza which was delightfully cheesy with a thin crust. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, and a winter Caesar salad to start and we weren't disappointed. Overall, the food, service, and great experience was impeccable And worthwhile. We can't wait to go back to experience this local eatery with great service and delicious food.

The staff are wonderfully kind and the food is absolutely delicious. The gnocchi was pillowey-soft, the pizza crusts were crispy on the outside (with those yummy blackened bits from the hot wood oven) and soft on the inside, and the house cocktails were great. Try to get in for happy hour if you can; the happy hour pizzas will keep you coming back again and again... amazing. Reservations do help, as they can get busy. I recommend an early reservation on a weekend day, sit back, and eat and drink some of the best stuff in Portland for a couple hours...

One of our absolute favorites for years now! Exquisite, fresh PNW meets Italian fare. A perfectly relaxed & effortlessly cool atmosphere. Excellent craft cocktails as well as a great little old-world wine list. Love Lucca!

Lucca is a shadow of it's former self. The original owner/chef made amazing meals and would often come out to the dining room and chat with the customers. It used to be a reliable place to go for a great Italian meal with a warm ambiance and good service. Not anymore! It now resembles a place that no one cares about and that was refelcted in the staff, atmosphere and the food. From the dried up holiday wreaths to the odd vases on the tables with corks and a few twigs of dried flowers. I even noticed a thick layer of dust on the half wall dividing the bar from the dining area. My husband and I went there last night and ordered the pork and chicken dishes for $32 and $29 respectively. My pork dish had a measly couple of warm brussel sprouts, wilted cooked lettuce, two triangles of cold polenta and a very small, thin and tough piece of pork loin. My husband's chicken thigh wasn't terrible but the sides were half hearted and neither dish was worth the cost. The corn and salmon soup that we shared as an appetizer had no flavor and needed salt just to make it palatable. Instead, go to one of the many wonder restaurants that Portland has to offer and skip this former neighborhood gem. It's definitely not worth the bother anymore, unfortunately.

I've been a long standing customer who moved away a number of years ago Lucca has always been my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Great food fantastic service and always consistent Thank you for a lovely evening Dillion was excellent. I miss your summer dinners at the nursery next door I've attended many. Thanks again. Shannon

The food at Lucca was amazing as was the service. They were extremely busy and it was a bit loud as it is a large open room. The entire staff could not have been more welcoming and treated us like family coming over for dinner. Although there was quite a crowd and it was a holiday evening, we were treated individually, as if the staff had only our table to attend to. They were conversational and very willing to describe the offerings of the evening and make suggestions according to our questions. This type of service gives you the impression that the staff is truly interested in their customers having a unique and enjoyable meal. I had the Risotto ai Funghi and my companion had the Pappardelle; we shared a citrus and pistachio salad. The food was extremely flavorful and enjoyable to the last bite. We followed the meal with a chocolate and butterscotch Budino that was lovely in its presentation and a very sweet top off to an amazing meal! This is our second or third time to Lucca and each time our visit has been a very enjoyable, dining experience Please give them a try you won't regret it.

Wasn't as good as I was expecting. Got prosciutto wrapped pears, crab ravioli and wagyu. It's was okay.

Great service and pretty good food. Thanks for having more than the token fruit juice and club soda for us non-drinking types. I appreciated the multiple options. Always a nice and upbeat neighborhood vibe in this place!

Restaurant seemingly made more reservations available than table space. When we arrived for our reservation there were two couples already waiting who had reservations. We were finally seated 20 minutes after arriving. Server was apologetic but it set in motion a very unimpressive meal. The only good thing was the cocktail. Would not recommend.
