Lucky Labrador Beer Hall

I have been to Lucky Lab many times because of it’s location and accommodations for larger groups, but it has to be one of the worst managed restaurants/breweries i have been to. It seems to be perpetually understaffed, and the FOH employees working the register and bringing out drinks take an impossibly long time. A single draft pour and slice order somehow takes far longer than it should, and when there’s anyone ahead of you expect to wait 5+
minutes for each person in line. Additionally, the pizza is unacceptably bad. It is cheap, but in a city with so much fantastic pizza available I have no clue how it can be this poor. Lastly, one time they charged me $90 for a slice and beer and I had to come in the next day for them to fix it - when i came back they only refunded me the difference from their mistake, I feel like that should have been a full refund for my trouble.

One of the best parts of Portland is this place.

Great spot with plentiful outdoor and indoor options. Excellent beer and pizza selections, especially the Wag hazy IPA as well as an Oktoberfest and Gose right now.

Pizza has no flavor. Specifically the sauce was bland- tasted like straight unflavored tomato sauce. But the location is cool, and the people were friendly.

A place with good food, great environment, relaxed customers, and a general great vibe. The staff are amazing, and if you go, maybe get there early, cause it is easy for it to get packed.

My nonprofit hosted a private event here last week, and the space was great. Libby was such a kind and incredible bartender and she made sure that our gluten free guests were able to swap out the pizza buffet for a gluten free sandwich which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend working with Libby - she did a great job answering all my questions throughout the entire planning process.

The beer was tasty and refreshing, and the food didn’t disappoint either! I was especially impressed by the salad—it was fresh, generously portioned, and packed with a great variety of ingredients. The Latin soup was a standout: rich, flavorful, and comforting.

The outdoor seating area really adds to the experience. It’s spacious, full of greenery and colorful flowers, creating a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for spending an afternoon with a group of friends, enjoying good food, drinks, and conversation.

Super fun place to have a beer on a warm summer day. Nice to have a place close by where the pooch is welcome. Great beer, nice vibe - will be back.

I'd give such a higher review if the staff weren't so unfriendly and horrifically blatantly off putting, the woman who helped me and my partner were awful, rude, distracted and over charged us. Such a shame, been coming to lucky lab for so long since I was a kid

Nice place to sit, play cards, eat. Both meals were excellent. Staff friendly. Restrooms clean. You bus your own table.

Feels like an actual community/neighborhood/pub in a neighborhood that lacks that energy. A secret hub amid a lot of new condos and businesses. This place feels like Portland.
