Made a reservation for 8:00PM, it wasn't busy when we got there. Waiter said he would get us seated but by 8:20 still not seated so we just left and went to Din Tai Fung which was a 10/10 experience and just around the corner. I'm glad we recognized the bad omen and this mamma Mia place didn't smell or look that good inside which was another sign that there are greener pastures elsewhere

The gluten-free, dairy-free spaghetti was delish! They were very accommodating of my dietary restrictions and the waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Good Italian American food. The minestrone was very good. I would have loved more of the homemade foccacia (i would have paid for it, but not offered any). The gnocchi was great! Olive oil cake was awful. Less like a cake and more like cookie dough with no olive oil flavor. Not a great ending to an otherwise good meal. The staff was very friendly.

This is the Italian we all wanted. Like Mama or Grandma made. Table for eight in a well designed corner celebrating a family event. Lovely service from Michelle and entrees that were delicious , well presented, and very tasty. Loved our starter calamari ... crispy tentacles, tender squid with two tasty sauces. Several people loved the Bolognese. I had fabulous Saltimbocca. Husband loved his cioppino. Zeppole dessert was a huge hit.

We were visiting Portland with our granddaughters ages 7 and 10. This was the perfect spot to celebrate there birthdays. Food, service and atmosphere were great. The seven year proclaimed best lasagna ever. Had the Italian donuts. Oh my they were so delicious. Our entrees were excellent. Thank you for a special night

The wait staff and hostess were welcoming and made our pre- high school graduation and 8th grade middle school promotion celebration dinner very special!!

I visited this restaurant for a special mom-and-daughter date and, unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Our server was largely inattentive, checking in only minimally, and our water glasses remained empty until after we had finished our meal. While the food itself was enjoyable and worth returning for, I would likely opt for takeout in the future rather than dining in. It was hard not to notice the stark contrast in service at the table next to us, which received constant attention—perhaps they were regulars or had a personal connection to the staff. Had we received even a fraction of that level of care, my impression might have been quite different.

This place was absolutely delicious!
Was so excited to have Italian food because we don’t have any Italian at home.
This place did not disappoint! We didn’t have a reservation, but they got us in right away.
And the tiramisu… oh my! We ate it too fast and forgot to take a picture.

Would definitely go back!!!

Dinner was delicious, with the exception of dessert. The shrimp scampi was out of this world deelish. In fact all pasta and sides were above and beyond . I feel that dessert fell flat. A panna cotta should be light and creamy with a subtle sweetness and served with an accompanying seasonal fruity compote. The one we had was served with a very tart, almost vinegary fig paste and a very savory layer of basil on the bottom. A bit off the mark. And the flourless chocolate torte seemed like it was over-mixed and fallen, and baked inappropriately with maybe an off balance off fat to ingredients ratio. Was very dry, bitter, and needed more sweetness..though on the contrary the accompanying sorbet was an odd choice as it was overly sweet almost syrupy sweet and extremely sour. The cheesecake was okay, though a bit grainy. The scoop of Gelato we received to replace the panna cotta was absolutely delicious! Creamy with nice chocolate balance. I just hope that it was made in house because it was the saving grace!
Our server (astaria c on receipt) was very accommodating, prompt and efficient. If they could fix some technical issues with dessert, they would have a great thing moving forward. Oh, and the muzak was way too loud!

We got a table just as they were closing at 8p. The staff was fantastic - accommodating and reassuring us there was no need to rush. Thank you! The food was good, but not noteworthy. Definitely average Italian fare with good portions. The artichoke appetizer was just okay. Classics like chicken Parmesan and fettuccine Alfredo were typical. Kids meal came with a huge vanilla ice cream sundae. Too big for kid to finish but a nice bonus.

Mama Mia is one of our favorite restaurants. We were celebrating our 26th Anniversary with dear friends! They sent sparkly to our table, the meals were exceptional and the waitress was pleasant and very accommodating. Thank you again for the wonderful dining experience.

Mama Mia is ALWAYS good, the service is ALWAYS great. It's too far to be a destination for us, but we always stop when we're close.

We have drove by Mama Mia many times and my wife wanted to try it so we did. They were/are severely understaffed and unfortunately that caused the below average rating. We had a 6 reservation but did not leave until 8:32. We had a starter, entree, and dessert. There were 3 servers for the entire restaurant. Our server was extremely nice when she was able to stop at the table and tried hard, but the actual service was very slow due to being understaffed. The food was average and would have gotten 3 stars, but the slow service was extremely slow. The manager/floater that seated us was not as engaged as our server, but that may have been due to the short staff they were experiencing.
