Food acceptable and adequate but nothing out of the ordinary. Lamb kebabs were tasty.
I plan on coming here every chance I am in Portland now. Best meal I have eaten in a very long time!
Have been to this terrific Middle Eastern restaurant several times as a little treat on weekends. Have had a gyro & kefta kabob plate. The food is delicious: the meat, hummus, tzatziki, side salad, and the warm pita are delightful. Attention to each detail combined with the delicate seasoning (I.e. not overpowering) add up to a great meal. The host who has greeted me each time is lovely & the chef gracious and warm. They are easily the best Middle Eastern eatery East of the Willamette, and it’s not close (despite others being older & better known). They deserve to be busy all the time! Check them out if you haven’t. Great find on N. Williams.
I used to love the fries and Mujadra here but today I was served stale Mujadra and soggy fries which spoiled my dinner date. My husband liked his chicken shawarma sandwich. I may not come back here again.
All the food we got was delicious and fresh. The servers were very attentive. I can’t wait to go back!
We came here looking for an early dinner. Food and service were excellent!
Authentic and delicious! Great service!
Delicious and fresh. Our first visit and it’s nice to know it’s within walking distance. Smooth and creamy hummus, delicious grape leaves and tabouli. The beef kefta was best in town, very moist with nice char, not over cooked. The spanakopita was amazing. Served as individual rolls so you get more toasted phyllo.
It’s a must try.
The food was very delicious

Super happy to have Mama Khouri's in the neighborhood. All the meats, salads and sauces are tasty. Cute covered+heated outdoor seating area that's pleasant summer or winter.

We had the spanikopita, chicken shawarma platter, and baklava. The food was extremely flavorful and well-seasoned. The baclava was probably the best version of the dish we have tried anywhere. The atmosphere was casual and pleasant though the door alarm was quite loud and became annoying for those of us sitting by it.

Husband and wife duo at Mama Khouri’s have created a genuine Syrian restaurant that honors ancient traditions of hospitality, fresh ingredients and simplicity to present how Syrians take pride in their kitchen. The prices are reasonable and the ambience serves to support the main attraction: good food with generous portions. This is on my top 3 restaurants for the Portland area, because they honor their traditions and don’t reinvent good food with a new identity. Take a moment and ask the Chef on how they manage to present their dishes with just the right aromas !
