Atmosphere, ambiance was fine, although a little loud for my taste. We were able to hold a conversation without too much trouble. Got quieter after the breakfast crowd thinned out. Very good oatmilk cappuccino, according to my coffee partner, and very good mocha. "Drip" coffee seemed to be a slighly over diluted Americana. Another shot would have been good. It was busy, but even considering that the service was slower than expected. There didn't seem to be a sense...
I lived in the he neighborhood from 2020-2023. I visited today and experienced the cafe under the new owners and remodel. The apple walnut coffee cake was perhaps the best I have ever had. Moist..just the right amount of nuttiness....the crumble finger licking good. It is worth the 23 mile trip from across the river in Vancouver to SW PDX. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Can't wait to visit again.
Easily the best coffee shop on the West side. Tucked in a post office from over a century ago. The coffee is truly dialed-in. Baked goods expertly crafted. Breakfast and lunch are amazing. Beer, wine, tea. The Internet is great. I live behind the cafe and often work here w/ no problems. And they rotate art on the walls monthly, all sold by local artists. Great veg options.
