Over the years the quality of this place has gone down. I ordered a spicy miso with a side of boiled egg spinach. I paid almost $40 to get raw noodles, cold spinach, a cold egg (not even marinated just yboiled egg) and and a lukewarm soup.

Wow!! What a great ramen experience! I loved my vegan ramen and my son loved his kontaksu ramen! The Blood Orange Italian Soda was also yummy. The service was nice and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be tricky though. Clean restrooms.

I just got charged $4 for half an egg. The menu says it's $1. I asked about it. No refund was offered. Seems pretty petty. Food didn't really taste very good after that. Funny how feeling like you've been shafted makes things taste like ash in your mouth. I was giving this place one last try because everybody says it's good but it's just solidly ok. The broth is - Oh damn it is not even hot! Points off for lukewarm lameness! Weak. Tea is served in a paper coffee cup with lid and finger protector and lid. I don't want all that for a teabag.

Red vegan ramen was DEEElectable! So far the best ramen I’ve found in pdx
Once, I felt a cold coming on. Sore throat, headache, the works. I ordered delivery of the tonkotsu from this restaurant along with one of their house ice creams (matcha flavor, although it doesn't appear to be on the menu anymore). After eating the whole thing and drinking all the broth I went immediately to sleep. When I woke up, I felt 100% better. Their tonkotsu is still my go-to meal if I'm feeling sick.
Girl with the blue hair is extremely rude.

Everybody's here for the ramen I am here for the Shogayaki don. For 12 bucks, yeah, Shogayaki don is the hidden gem. Best for the money!

The bowl I got tasted good, but there was barely any meat, and not enough toppings or broth. It was literally like I received a half bowl's worth of everything with an additional half bowl's worth of noodles. Other reviewers have said that this place is inconsistent on these things, so maybe I just got unlucky with my only visit.

Super unimpressed with vegan options having significantly less stuff/protein in it than the meat options on menu while being the same price and it also was some of the worst ramen I've had in portland. i am not someone who asks for refunds or complains because I've been a food service worker but food is so expensive these days and my friend and I both werent able to eat our food so we got refunds. The broth tasted like salty soy milk and the noodles were undercooked and lowkey seemed like spaghetti noodles. As a vegetarian i was really hoping for an option with an egg but in order to get vegetarian ramen with an egg it would have been an extra $4 on top of the already pricey $16 vegan ramen that didn't even have tofu in it. all of the non veg options came with protein and an egg for the same price. Cant believe people are falling for this "trendy" spot. Seriously ridiculous My favorite ramen place remains to me Baka Umai on hawthorne.

Were passing by Portland and craved Ramen. Tried the Vegan Miso Spicy/Red and it was good. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff is friendly. Had a good experience.
We got the paitan shio. It was good but lacking just a little bit of flavor. Next time we'll try a different dish as the place offers other options that look tasty as well.

Tonkatsu Shoyu Red hits every time and the chasu is so tender. My mouth is watering as I am writing this review. Do yourself a favor and treat yo self to some of the delicious ramen. Undefeated every single time. I wish I could drink this broth as pre-workout

Definitely one of my favorite go-to ramen places in Portland
Edit: Not as good as it used to be now.
The miso vegan ramen is SO good and the broth is very full of flavor. As someone with a shellfish allergy who can’t eat at many ramen places, I appreciate that they accommodate allergies here. It’s so delicious!!! 🍜
