I ordered Vegan Miso Ramen. The soup was tasty… but I bet it was not vegan! It tasted like a pork based soup to me. Trust me… I’m from Japan and I know what I’m talking about when it comes to Ramen broth. The person who took my order was unfriendly, and she brought a wrong order once…so it’s possible she was messing with me… but I’ll be super cautious about their “vegan” ramen. I had severe migraine after eating their ramen.
The staff was friendly, and this was delicious ramen! We were a large group that came during rush hour, but they were very accommodating and quick to serve us! I got the red tonkotsu ramen and it was perfection. Plenty of pork belly and spice! I cleaned my bowl :)

The best in Portland.
Chasu pork is now hot, instead of how it used to be cold. Quality of the broth is the same delicious no matter how busy the business hour is.
Update in 2024. It's been 3 years since last time I ate here. Their name has changed as well as price but the quality and recipe still the same.
I still highly recommend you guys try out the real strict Japanese culture food here.

Get the tonkotsu red or, if you must the more mild tonkotsu. Excellent ramen.
Top tier ramen!! And I love how many vegan/vegetarian options they have. It gets really busy and the wait times are pretty long, but worth it if you have time.

The ramen is decent and favorable, but the indoor space is a bit cramped and limited. We were asked to sit outside. Although 90% of the outdoor seating were covered, we still got wet from the remaining 10% as it was downpour rain. Also, I feel we were overcharging for the karaage, $12.00 for four small karaage. I have better karaage at other establishments. I also have an issue for the establishment, asking for tips when I have to get my own water and bus my own dishes. Software companies have created domains and subscriptions for small businesses to ask for tips when tips are not necessary.
Parking: The only benefit is that it was Sunday. Street parking was free.

Excellent ramen spot in Portland. There's definitely a reason they are usually packed with customers.

This is hands-down the best bowl of Ramen in Portland, so if food was the only factor I'd give them 5 stars. They have trouble keeping up with demand, the line to order takes too long and the food takes too long to come out after ordering. Getting ramen in Tokyo is so fast comparatively, so I'm surprised being owned by a Japanese company that the food and ordering is so slow! I'd say it's worth the wait, and it really is worth the wait, the wait just seems totally unnecessary.
