Came back after eating here a few weeks ago because their jian bing (savory filled crepe roll) was so good. It comes vegetarian by default and it's super affordable, lot of food, and packed with flavor and texture.
Also tried their wonton noodles (non-veg) which were delicious and flavorful and their vegetarian / vegan dumplings were great too, however a tad too sweet for our tastes. Their pork dumplings, which is one of their staples, are better.
Regardless of dumpling flavor, the quality of how the dumplings are prepared are superior since the crease on the top is thin enough to be enjoyable and the skin is just right. They are as good as eating dumplings from San Gabriel (LA).
Everything is affordable here and high quality. It definitely feels like a local vibe here since you get your own free hot tea from the front (I love their tea) and order from qr codes on the table. They also play authentic Chinese music too on the tv, not just play bland American sports.
I only wish they had more sauces like red vinegar (for wonton) and more options for my vegetarians friends. Otherwise, still very delicious and will be back to try more dishes

Have been coming here for years and it’s always on point. One of my favorites if not my absolute favorite place to go out. Highly recommend the he wonton noodle soup but you can’t really miss with anything on the menu. Absolute gem

Tastes just like in China 💔 Fabulous!
The pan fried bun (literally a bun that was put on a pan to sear the bottom a tiny bit) and xiaolongbao are just premade frozen goods that you can buy yourself in a grocery store. Dry and not worth it.
Pancake is pretty good, Jianbing as well!
Food and service are amazing!!! They run a very clean and tasty spot!

Ambiance and all-paper plates and utensils detract from the great food.

Stopped in after seeing recommendations on Reddit. Very pleased. Ordered via QR code at table (Kiosk near entrance also available). Food came out quickly and was clearly freshly made. First to come out were steamed buns and Chinese potstickers. Between the 3 of us eating, all were gone before our next batch (xiaolongbao and chicken dumplings) of food came out. The XLB was the highlight of the meal, but everything was delicious and authentic. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely amazing food, you can taste the love and care that goes into preparing these dishes! It's fresh, flavorful and the hospitality is so welcoming. The young gentleman tending to customers was polite and happy to accommodate and serve us. The ladies in the kitchen were timely and diligent in preparing our plates. This place sets the bar high for any competition, keep it up!

In Portland's haze, where the fog hangs low,
There's a place called Master Kong, where the flavors flow.
Noodles like snakes, with a slippery grin,
And dumplings plump, where the juices within.
Jianbing so thin, you can see right through,
With a crunch and a zing, and a savory hue.
Congee so smooth, it melts in your mouth,
A warm, gentle hug, from the very first south.
The atmosphere's bright, with lanterns aglow,
A friendly old chef, with a mischievous glow.
He stirs and he chops, with a magical hand,
Turning simple ingredients, to a culinary land.
So if you're in Portland, and hunger does call,
Find Master Kong's door, and answer its call.
For a taste of the East, in a Western delight,
A feast for the senses, both morning and night.

Order from a germ covered kiosk. Limited menu of mostly congee. No beef or chicken plates seen on menu. Highly overpriced for what you get

This is not American Chinese food - this is delicious, authentic Chinese food in an unpretentious setting. Considering going with friends and trying a bit of everything.
