Master Philly is the only burger cart in town worth my time, been going there for about 5yrs. I've tried to encouraged everybody I know to hit this place at least once if they get a chance. Sorry to see they're temporarily closed, hoping that it is indeed only temporary! (Word is they have a second cart, possibly in Tigard? I've never verified. Oh, and last I heard he owns the shawarma cart there next to this 148th location. Sure hope they come back or at least reopen somewhere soon! Best of everything to the owners either way, thanks for several years of great meals and fantastic service!

*Edited to update!!
I recently stumbled upon our burger guys! Looks like they have combined their swarma cart with their burger cart from the location I previously mentioned. Seems a great majority of both menus are available too, INCLUDING the burgers!!
They're settled in on NE MLK & NE Beech in that little corner food pod. Unless they've shuffled spaces or completely rolled away again, they were the 1st cart on the left when you enter the pod from the Beech st entrance. Lots of tables are available.
I much prefer this location's atmosphere. Enjoy!

sandwich from the Philly cheese steak cart was AWESOME and the fries were the shoestring type - delicious.

Not sure what the sauces were that they served with it but they were really good too.

I definitely will go back

The food here is consistently delicious! Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Whether you're trying a classic dish or something new, the quality and flavor never disappoint. A great spot to satisfy your cravings and enjoy every bite!

Bad service. Won’t help you. Would not serve me and my family. He was too busy talking to his friends.

The gentleman was very kind and welcoming. The food itself was very good. The falafel is exceptionally good.

I was given a 25 minute estimate which seems a little bit long, but I said OK then I ended up waiting over an hour. There was not enough meat to even cover the bread so I had to tear some of the bread off. The fries were so cold. It was as if they just came out of the refrigerator. I would rate zero stars, but the lowest is one star. for $13 I expect to get filled up. I was still hungry after eating this sandwich.

Order on 12/12/24 around 1am-2am orderd a Chicago Dog Combo through door dash, when food arrived the Chicago dog was missing advertised tomato and Onion. Hotdog was sent with only Relish, Mustard wasted $20. This is not a Chicago Dog and Not what I made for. Please avoid purchasing from them they seem to Not honor their customers. Im tempeted to reach out to a known Bussiness Crititc who works with ad agency regarding Portland food Bussiness and service. Managment make this right, I will Not be ripped off on a hogdog.

I wanted to like this place so bad! I purchased $40.00 worth of food to go, gave a tip, and paid $1.00 to use my card and most of it ended up in the garbage. I ordered 2 Philly cheese stakes meals and Philly nachos. The bread was stale and all the chips were super old! We could only eat the meat and a couple of fries. I will say the meat was good though, but everything needs to be good to pull it all together. I was sooo disappointed! Their pictures made it look so satisfying too :/

Ordered Philly cheesesteak and fries.
No cheese anywhere on anything. Onion and bell peppers weren’t even slightly sautéed. Let alone caramelized . No jalapeño either.
Besides those two things. Flavor wasn’t bad I ate it all. Hoogie bun was nice . Not soggy. Fries are spot on . Lightly seasoned . Not greasy.
Maybe it’s just a west coast thing that it’s missing items . Now back on the east coast. It’s like pow! lol

Got a philly cheese steak, not the best, but not bad. It was not the right bread for a philly it was too thick, and the bread was steal. Not enough meat. The place next to it was awesome my husband got a shawrma plate.

I have been vegan for 24 years and eaten many philly cheese steaks. I never thought I would find one I didn't like but sadly today was the day. There was a sign on the food truck that said to order next door so maybe the usual person wasn't making the food? But the staff didn't get our order right. My partner asked for dairy cheese on a vegan cheese steak and I asked for an all vegan cheese steak. The guy gave my partner the weird vegan not melted cheese triangles on top and both of us some dairy nacho cheese in a cup. My partner tried the nacho cheese sauce and said it was definitely not vegan and also sour tasting like it had gone bad. The actual cheese steak was so so bad. I think the 'steak' was made out of like a rice pilaf or some kind of rice mash. No seasoning at all. You just can't pull that off as cheese steak. There were lots of bell peppers and onions and that was really the thing you tasted the most but overall so bland. The port-o- potty's were also locked and the out door seating area was super dirty, trash can overflowing and smelled like pee (not surprised since the bathrooms were locked). Definitely do not recommend.

The food was awesome. Had the Philly cheese steak. It was full of flavor, Nice toasted bread. Service was a little slow as he was the only person handling 2 food carts plus people ordering online. Will definitely visit again if I'm in town.
