I came into the bar to kill time. I got a phone call and had my conversation in Spanish then suddenly the whole table next to me started looking at me and the bar tender told me to keep it down. I was talking to my girlfriend very friendly and the whole table kept eyeing me. Felt very racist and uncomfortable just because of that and the staff supporting it while 50-60 year old men and women conversed very obnoxiously and loudly.

There is a warm spot in my heart for McPeets. It's a great neighborhood bar. It's a comfortable place to drop in for a tall cold one, and the menu is good and well executed. Good local tap list, lots of screens, friendly crowd.

I'd been wanting to go here for years but never found the time. It's in a great neighborhood with lots to do and the atmosphere is everything you would want in a neighborhood pub. Food is great and the beer list, while not expensive by Portland standards has something for every taste. Maybe best of all in my situation, it is a quick jump to the airport for visiting friends looking for something close that isn't a chain and has great ambiance with fast, friendly service.

Didn't get much interaction from staff. Seemed ok.
Came here on 2/10 and the bartender was extremely rude to our whole group. To start off, she commented on my 28 y/o friend’s ID saying “surprised it’s not expired”. Then, I ordered food. Four of my friends ordered after me and received their food first. I went up to the bar to see where my food was and she said “yeah we’re really f-ing busy”, proceeded to go to the kitchen, then came back and realized that she never pulled my food ticket so they hadn’t started my food (15min after I ordered). No apology from the bartender whatsoever. I am very disappointed that I had to tip before receiving an actual service. Won’t be back here and I’ll advise all friends against coming here.
