This is mostly a beer/ale place as far as I could tell. Lots and LOTS of choices!!
I was looking for wine and found a nice Pinot Noir for a reasonable price.
They were serving my choice at the bar and was offered a taste before I bought it, very good.
I ended up ordering a full glass of the wine that i planned on buying. As I sipped my wine I had a delightful talk with the barkeeper
He knew all the small production beers that I liked from california ( my home state).
If you are on or near 23rd street Portland and looking for a comfortable, easy place to have a quality beer or wine, this is it.
To-go adult beverages are available, especially beers- there's a huge selection

Great place if you want to have a HUGE selection of beers and wine. The customer service was excellent. She had just this day got over twenty four years there

McMenamins properties are always an experience. On our quest today Lee gave us the 5star experience. She was knowledgeable, engaging and quite friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her.

Nice people serving beers from about 20 taps featuring some of their beers and some guest beers, like Pliny the Elder. Quaff a pint while checking out what beers you'll take home with you from their extensive selection.
No food is served here, but their tavern is next door.
