Wonderful learning experience. We left with so much more coffee knowledge than we had at the beginning of the tour. Would definitely recommend to all coffee lovers!
It is so impressive to see how and where all the coffee for the whole company comes from here.
Finally got to the Coffee Roaster!! ? Definitely call for a tour time.
Finally made it downtown for the roastery tour. The gentleman in charge wasn't simply informative; he was genuinely interesting and friendly. And the coffee is really, really good, too!

Friendly staff answered many coffee questions knowledgeably.
Great roaster tour! Guide was very knowledgable and personable. I was impressed with how careful McMenamins is to make sure the coffee in their restaurants is fresh and prepared properly at the "ground" level!
Great coffee
Excellent Coffee Tour. The gentleman that did the tour was extremely knowledgeable about all things coffee. It was easy to follow the things that he said and we were able to sample the Sumatra and Kenya blends. I Love That Mcmenamins makes the extra effort to make sure they are working with fair trade brands and no chemicals. Its so cool to learn about the ends and outs of roasting the beans and the formulas they have to follow. I had no idea all that went into making an awesome cup of coffee.
Went here last week for my passport stamp, and it's an interesting side-trip for the optional "experiences" pages. It is completely free to come here, and it's a brief (for me, twenty minutes) tour which goes over the McMenamin's roasters history and operations. There's nothing to buy here, but you are granted a free coffee sample. Parking lot is small, and I had to park a couple of blocks away. Good, quick experience for the passport stamp.
