Time for lunch and spotted McMenamins across the street. Why not?
Great Iced Tea!
Atmosphere is great, the vibe is in tune with the area and the age of the building…complete with a wood burning stove in the center of the room.
The Hummus plate was nice but overpowering. It is served with both raw and pickled veggies. Combined with the garlic laced Tzatziki sauce it is a bit much.
Definitely Portland…where everything has its own spin.

We love McMenamins and visit the different locations regularly (passport holders). Our only gentle complaint is the menu rarely changes. Core items are the same from Tacoma to Portland, so it does get a little stale for us regulars. But again, we're huge fans and staunch supporters. My husband even proposed at a McMenamins (Anderson School) and we stay at a different hotel every year for my birthday. Highly recommend!

I'm typically a big mcmenamins fan, but this location has consistently been a miss. I've been there half a dozen times for dine-in, and every time my food has been missing ingredients. Tonight I ordered pickup for dinner, and for the third time at this location that I've ordered the Aztec salad, and they didn't include avocado, which is a listed ingredient - tbh, I wouldn't pay $15+ for a salad otherwise. The extra shitty part tonight was they didn't...
