Excellent! Not an egg tart fan but loved these. Crispy shell and creamy egg custard - not like some places taste like jello. Love sesame balls with red bean filling. Two delicious treasures: baked BBQ pork buns - generously filled; and beef curry pastry - flakey crust and tasty curry beef. Bought so many other goodies. Also, got the green roll-up cake with coconut cream filling - lightly sweet. I left the room to get my phone for pics, came back to 3 empty boxes already put into the trash. Good thing I ate mine on the drive back. The highlight was the great customer service from Scarlett, Becky, and Eddie. Thank you all for your patient Kindness and attentive assistance.

Morning of my gfs birthday, I head here to order a durian cake since she loves it (most Vietnamese do). I asked if they could finish in 3 hours, they said yes. Their english over the phone wasnt as good as in person, but they are very friendly and they love what they do! $45 for a durian 8 person cake and they finished in less than 2 hours on late notice. Amazing. My gf was so happy.
They even threw in some baked goods and candles. They really helped out.

Mei Sum reminded my wife of Hong Kong which is what we were looking for in Portland. I'm sure she could have bought every pastry and still want more. Mei Sum Bakery hits the spot of you're looking for Cantonese style baked goods. Their Mooncakes were so delicious and just what we were hoping for.
Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the pineapple buns, I could have ate a dozen. It's a small local bakery, I'd rather buy here than anywhere else.

Visited this bakery for the first time as I was looking to order a birthday cake. Ended up getting some egg tarts, BBQ pork bun and other treats which were delicious (even better than HK Cafe). I'm giving this bakery a 3 star since the woman behind the counter was very rude. Ignored me for a long time, helped everyone who came in and only paid attention to me once everyone was gone, acted annoyed and like I was bothering her. I was hesitant to order the cake, but ended up doing so and admittedly, the cake was delicious. Now feeling torn since their food is amazing but service is awful.

The surprise hit was the pineapple custard bun, with a creamy filling that tasted like a Chinese take on Boston crème—unexpected and absolutely delicious.
Simple, affordable, and packed with flavor. I’ll definitely be back.
The food is absolutely amazing! It got varieties of choices I could choose. The prices are reasonable, not crazily expensive which I really like! Service is alright, because the clerk face is always frowning, not happily greeting their customers. But, this doesn't stop me from coming back purchasing their delicious goodies.

The owners are nice and my favorite go to place for Chinese pastries. Shop is small so its not really a place to hang out. It's more for takeout or buy and go. Their fresh fruit cakes are exquisite. Fluffy, fruit, light and refreshing. I'm just not a fan of the store bought cakes with heavy icing. They make the cake on the same day you pick up (need to order ahead of time)
