One of my favorite go-to spots. The owners are a super sweet and hardworking couple. I usually get the tofu or chicken Bahn mi or pho. Alsoo I love that the Bahn Mi comes wrapped in paper now instead of a plastic container!

Love this spot. If you are eating vegetarian here the tofu banh mi is a must. I'm always hesitant to try tofu based sandwiches since the tofu is usually boring and not cooked well but this sandwich is the exception. Filled with fresh cilantro and jalapeños, the tofu is flavorful and not too dense or spongey. The staff is extremely kind and friendly and the atmosphere is casual and authentic.Vegetarian options: If you are satisfied with a Banh Mi, the tofu is wonderful. There seems to be vegetarian pho options on the menu but upon asking further you will learn they don't have a vegetarian broth.

Went many yrs ago. It was good! 11am walked in, said hi to the lady cook glared at me. Tables were dirty, kitchen looks like a cluttered mess. The server looked angry and wanted me to order to go. I used the restroom whie he said he would clean the table. He didn't hands dripping and I mean dripping with water. And yelled what do you want? Bizarre? I left. Too bad, food looks great!

3-4 tables, this place is small and was bustling when I went during lunch.The meat was nice quality and tender.The broth was super good.I just sat in my vehicle afterward, full of warm broth & nüdz, and it felt like a warm cozy blanket while I watched the rain outside.

It would be a shame if people didn’t get to try it.Usually vegetarian broth compromises favor depth, but this Pho Chay broth is super good.Sure the food is on the pricier side (about average dining price for Portland though), but pho portions are usually enormous. 100% worth the experience.Kid-friendliness: Enormous outdoor deck. The owners are very chatty, happy people. Especially the bald male chef—he just seems super happy.
