I live next door to Meta Pizza and it's a daily struggle. As soon as they fire up the ovens and the smell of dough and garlic fills the air my mouth waters and I have to battle myself as to whether I'm gonna eat yet another slice that day . The meatball special with saffron Milanese and nutmeg ricotta is out of this world. I usually give into temptation. Highly recommend adding the lamb sausage to the Grandma Style!

As an Italian who just came to Portland over 2 weeks ago I have eaten here maybe 7 times in the last 14 days. I have no shame about it whatsoever because it’s that good. The quality of ingredients are so good and the different types of pizza to try is artisan af. They have slices that are ready for you all the time with cider beer and brownies. I love that they have hot honey, Parmesan and chili flakes to doctor your meal up even though it’s perfect as is, I’m just extra like that. The people that work there are amazing authentic people who you can’t help but want to get to know. Best pizza in Portland 13/10

PDX Eater talked big game about Meta. I checked it out. I was surprised to discover that they only have outside seating at a couple of little tables. Since it's mid-December we ate in the car. You buy a whole pie of just a slice. We decided to order slices. My daughter was adventurous and chose a white sauce one and a chicken vodka. I went with tried and true pepperoni. Especially since they use the small pepperoni that I really like. The pizza is decent. PDX Eater probably featured Meta because of the more unusual choices. I ordered a Margherita pizza and they were worried about the steam in the box messing up the fresh basil, so they gave me a separate bag of it to put on the pizza myself. Super thoughtful! Beautiful, thin, chewy dough and crispy, smoky crust! Probably one of the best pizza places in Portland - would highly recommend.

Delicious Sicilian style ( but thinner) and crispy. Well-priced pizza, super friendly staff. We had slices- a pepperoni and a cheese. Also, had a nice seasonal salad with squash, nuts, cheese, cranberries. We'll be back!

The pizza is really good, especially recommend the pepperoni, four cheese, and mushroom pies. They have trouble timing orders during peak hours — if you need to order two pies, expect one to be cold by the time your second is ready.
Pizza tour 2024 champion Awesome pizza. Great crust with a nice smokey flavor, amazing sauce, cheese was fantastic, and nice thicky cup char pepperoni. Best I've had in recent memory, you should definitely stop here
