Yuck, what in the world is this green slime all over the place? Is that.... ectoplasm?? I thought ectoplasm was only in the movies. Well, whatever it is, it smells good. Maybe I'll just... Hey! It is good! Tangerine with a hint of something grassy and aromatic, like pandan. I wonder how it got here. Who am I gonna call to clean this crud up?

I swear if those kids across the street smash my jack-o'-lantern on my driveway again this year I don't know what I'll do. I even put a scented candle inside of it this year, for the passersby. Thai tea and black sesame. Those kids better keep out...

When asked to describe the crime scene, all she could say were names. Norman Bates. Patrick Bateman. Michael Myers. Billy Loomis. Jack Torrance. Annie Wilkes. It's clear she was in shock, and who can blame her, all the blood all over the place. Like someone had stained vanilla flavored walls with raspberry jam.
Purple People Eater
It's a good thing I'm not a purple person. That Purple People Eater on the loose doesn't eat non-purple people. Look, I think I see it over there munching away on some poor sap. It saw me staring, but I'm not worried. It sure looks funny; like a giant purple yam with it's mouth open, heading this way. He still looks hungry. Wait a minute. It's purple... It's not the Purple People eater, it's the Purple People Eater!!

Horrorchata Pudding (Filled)
Hmm...that looks like a normal Mikiko horchata pudding donut. Everyone's had it, it's a fan and staff favorite. But what is WITH the puffed rice on top? Is that...green?? I wonder what that could be (maybe it's...matcha?).

Not only is Mikiko Donuts delicious and yummy, nailing every single flavor they come out with, but they truly go ABOVE AND BEYOND for their customers. I had an issue with a Doordash order where I never received it, and while it wasn't Mikiko's fault at ALL, when I messaged them about the situation, they offered to personally drive me over a new order plus extra goodies because of what happened, without hesitation. It's been a long time since I've experienced...

I was in the area and decided to give the donut shop a try. I’ve tried mochinut donuts before and really like those, so I thought these would be similar. To my dear surprise, they left much to be desired. I’m doubtful I’ll return unless it’s on someone else’s dollar. The frosting kept falling off the donuts, leaving me eating mostly the plain donut and scavenging the frosting bits like I’m digging for Goldfish from Pepperidge Farm.

We are so fortunate to have Mikiko Mochi Donuts to provide gluten free dairy free donuts in Portland!! There are so many wonderful flavors to choose from. The donuts are a little chewy and very tasty. Some flavors are regular, but every time there are seasonal flavors to try.
