What a night and day difference from the Hawthorne location!
I went here because my gf said she got sushi here and I was shocked, because my impression of Mio was not good based on the other location. But trust is important in a relationship, so I decided to give it a shot.
I couldn't believe how good the sushi was. It rivaled my favorite place to go, and it's a better price point.
Service was great, and the waiter was attentive and friendly.
I looked around and there were no boxes sitting on the floor. This seems like a really weird thing to say unless you've been to the Hawthorne location, which is cluttered. Clearly the staff here care more.
Highly recommended if you're in this area. Get the salmon ngiri and the Oregon roll!

Nice Phinney hole-in-the-wall with a simple, quality menu and pleasant staff. Intimate but spacious dining area is a good place for well behaved families (get off your phones and stop yelling at four year olds to wait for their water till the adults are done talking).

Excellent food at great prices with fantastic staff. The Bento Boxes are a good deal. We usually get take out but dining in is super fun there and their hot sake is delicious! 😋

Frustrated by the online ordering. Google says the location isn’t busy. All the online ordering services say 21-24 minutes. But then when I place my order and get my confirmation it says ready in 40 minutes. That’s a bait and switch. Very frustrating.
