Mirisata Reviews
Finally checked out Mirisata and so happy I did. This was my first time trying Sri Lanka cuisine and I was skeptical as vegan food is not always my favorite. In this case I was blown away by the flavor and feeling of comfort my meal provided. The spices were apparent, but not so much you couldn’t taste the dish. It was filling, but not heavy or greasy. Will definitely come back.
First time eating Sri Lankan, and I think it is my favorite. Helps that I had a Sri Lankan friend with me to order and everything was delicious. Flavors that made my mouth happy. Spicy but not too much. We had two different types of roti, string hoppers, dishes with eggplant, chicken, jackfruit, and pop sambol. Flavors were out of this world. The cardamom flan for dessert was yummy and the Sri Lankan Iced Coffee was so good. Can’t wait to return

Mirisata is a vegan restaurant that provides an exceptional dining experience with its delicious and flavorful Sri Lankan food. The atmosphere is inviting, featuring a beautiful outdoor patio with plenty of covered seating and friendly staff who are very helpful. This spot is a gem in Portland's unique vegan scene, known for its all-inclusive pricing with gratuity already included. The menu offers a variety of dishes like curry, sambal, and rotis, with the curry of the day being a standout. It is recommended to share family-style meals with a group of 2-4 people. The service is incredible, and the food is top-notch, with generous serving sizes. The daily plate special has a wide variety, and the rice and curry platter is massive, perfect for two, with all kinds of fun sides and sauces. The food is very flavorful, and the “spicy” option is not overwhelming. The housemade soda and iced tea are delicious, and the drink specials are reasonable. The line can be long, so ordering online might be a good idea, but there is plenty of seating. This place frequently gives back to the community, making it a standout choice in the PNW.
