Impossible Beef Rolls

Our plant-based version the crispy and crunchy beef (or mutton) rolls sold by corner shops and street vendors all over Sri Lanka. We use Impossible ground beef and potatoes to make the curry filling, then we'll wrap 'em and roll 'em in bread crumbs before frying to perfection. Two per order. Contains gluten and soy. Nut-free.

Wambattu Moju

A side of eggplant moju -- a pickled dish that is a great addition to any meal! Fried eggplant, whole small shallots, and green chilies are cooked in coconut vinegar, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Gluten-, soy-, and nut-free.

First of all I love the fact this is a worker-owned cooperative. The staff person who helped us was very pleasant and engaging. Nice atmosphere and decor in the indoor seating area. There’s also nice outdoor patio and street seating.

With 4 of us there, we had the opportunity to try about 10dishes. We had a 1-2 person plate, a shrimp entree and a kale daily special. Also a cheese and pork roti. All but one of the plated items were extremely salty. The dal was the only one that was instead very bland and not salted enough. The roti was extremely greasy, we couldn't eat it due to the greasiness. We were really excited bcz of the reviews, but just so very disappointed. I think if it were not for the fact...

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had the shared plate and chose a variety of small tastings - we loved each dish each was very flavorful. The “spicy” was not over the top which I appreciated.
