Server was nice! Cozy atmosphere, a little dingy. Comfortable, tables were clean & set. Got water and my beer quickly. Mexican roll was really good, big chunks of tuna which is great. Dumplings stood out, could pass on the sauce. Omg but the miso soup !!! It wasn’t even hot when I got it ._. But I was too tired to bother tbh, the lil seaweeds that get thrown in to expand in the soup were still shriveled. the mochi portion was huge & actually rly good not frostbitten...
Welcoming staff and delicious sushi. Hard to go wrong here for a great dinner experience. The only reason I give service 4 stars is because our friends never received water throughout the entire dinner, even after they asked for it. Server was fantastic and multi-tasking, so we weren't upset with her or anything, just a little disappointed that our friends were left thirsty aside from their alcoholic drinks. Hands down my favorite sushi spot in Portland. The fish is always incredibly fresh, the rice perfectly seasoned, and every piece feels crafted with care. The staff are welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere makes the whole experience special.
