Secret gem of old turned new SE Portland. The Tanker turned Mighty Moes Tanker! If you want a spot where you can dance without judgment, have an amazing snack...(sometimes the most baller secret jambalaya) BBQ season permitting and the best owner who works his ass off everyday to be a contributor to the community, then this is your spot!

Came for wing week and we'll be back!!! Moe knows how to cook! So delicious. Our fav stop so far. Fun music and cheap drinks.

Busy, busy, busy! Burger Week burger was great. The wait staff behind the bar were fantastic. Place was packed but they still gave great service, kept their cool. Real pros!We are looking forward to stopping by soon on a more normal day. Really looking forward to trying the BBQ. The place was packed but it was a mellow and friendly crowd.

First off, I play trivia across the street at the space room on Thursdays, and the first thing you notice if you're in the area is the giant smoker outside, the billowing smoke coming out of it, and the smell of delicious food. I've been meaning to make my way over there, and Burger Week was the perfect chance to. I came in about 10pm, and there was only one person in front of me to order. The person who took my order was friendly, and my burger was done in a reasonable time, and was pretty good. Love that smokey flavor, and the cornmeal bun was pretty good. Ambiance probably isn't my cup of tea, and might have been just because it was later in the evening, but it was definitely more of a dark bar type feel then a place you'd go to eat, so if you're coming for food, getting something to go might be the better option, but I can't imagine anything they serve here being bad!

Just tried the burger week burger at Mighty Moe's. I think it is safe to say that the coleslaw on the burger is hands down the best I've ever had. The burger was delicious and smoky, and Moe was one of the most congenial proprietors I've met in a very long time.Give this place a go when you have a chance!!

Went there last night and some guy at the bar was cussing at my friend after he played a show and was loading his car. I told him to shut up and he then proceeds to stand up and get in my face being held back from trying to beat me up. This guy is a woman beater obviously. I have NEVER been treated like this by a man until now. So scary. Been to the bar before and had a good time, but I told the "security" and bartender and no action was done which truthfully makes me feel unsafe to return.

The food is amazing and the owner is super friendly. We went early, before the action started, we'll have to come back again a little later and check out the music too

When you come here, hope Marcell is working. He's a cool, smooth dude. I have had the pulled pork so far and it was slammin! I hate crinkle-cut fries. Always have, like my entire life. I'll eat crinkle fries all day. Lots of flavor, cool energy. Make a stop here and you will leave happy & well fed!

We came in here during burger week and once inside decided rather than getting it to-go we would sit and have a beer and enjoy our burgers. It's a nice little spot and staff were really friendly. Probably because they were ready for burger week the food was ready almost immediately. We were able to sit and enjoy and even though there was no "server" per se, we were still checked up on. We thought that was nice. And oh my, the place does smell amazing! You can smell the BBQ wafting in from out back. It was a nice spot and I'd definitely give their usual food a shot because it smelled so good. Nice little neighborhood bar.

I am not really a bar person generally. I'll own it - I just am not into hanging out in most bar spaces drinking cheap beers, spendy beers or guzzling high octane low shelf drinks. If that's you - cool... I'm not a heavy drinker but there is that occasion where if I do go out with some friends I have this dream happening. FYI...it never happens... ever....until last week when it did.Four of us were supposed to meet a friend for a drink across the street at their spot. When they were going elsewhere, one of our four suggested this spot saying it was black owned. We walked in and first thing... I almost cried because it smelled like the world's best BBQ and I was super full from eating already. Side note - me and one of the other four were plotting to come back for BBQ most of this visit because both of us were just intoxicated by that smell seriously....Then we all meet Marcel, the owner, who is everything you want in a person let alone a bartender. He also made me a drink based on what I told him I like. This drink was so good I was sobbing into it! I am not an easy person to please with a drink so this fella has some serious skills.I've heard tales that beers and BBQ are amazing. Again, I am not a beer person BUT I will be back to get some of that BBQ. I peeked at the menu and his prices look freaking amazing too with epic happy hour etc. I know my drinks were well priced for fancy (I cannot say enough times how good the damned drink was....) cocktails.
