Very nice place to eat and hang out! Second time here so far. The philly cheese steaks are fantastic! They can also be made pretty dang spicy. I love their french fries too. The staff is friendly and there's a cozy semi-ourdoor area to enjoy your meal.
Obsessed with this place's Philly cheesesteaks. Great steak fries too. Generous portions, beers on tap, and a fun, casual outdoor space with fire pits and space heaters and eclectic decor. They have entertainment as well - board games, pac man, a TV with movies playing. And shout out to the sweet border collie that hangs around!

Atmosphere is an 11. I love the decore. Really good food and good people. Such a little gem and I'm glad we found it. The cheese steak was great. My fiancé liked it original, I liked it with onions. It was fantastic!

This is the good stuff. The cheesesteak here is as good as the ones back east. The space and the decor are sublime. If the only cheesesteaks you've had are West Coast attempts, well, you gotta try the real stuff. Nothing like it. And they got pork roll sandwiches too!

Oh, the wonders! Tom is a cheesesteak artist (with great taste in movies), and Casey fills my heart with joy. This spot is magic - the ambiance, music, food, and spirit just feels right. Been coming for years with no plans to stop. Do yourself a favor - get a god damn cheesesteak.

Been maybe ten times by now over a couple years. Finally a short review.
The cheesesteak is legit. Amoroso's bread. Check. Real Cheese Whiz. Check (I think? By the time I get it home, it's been fully integrated with the steak, but it tastes of the real stuff.) One of my favorite things about this cart is I don't have to subtract anything. "Cheesesteak with whiz." Is there anywhere else in town where you can order a cheesesteak and just get bread, steak, and cheese? Never been to Philly, but I've had more than my fair share of this sandwich. It does the basics right.
Highly recommend the Monte Cristo egg rolls. Syrup and preserves on the side. It's sort of perfect. Owner, please don't ever remove it from the menu. :)
They have a very cool covered outdoor space, and the staff has always been kind. Dog friendly. I've only had my orders to go, but it's a nice atmosphere. Check out the pictures people have taken. It's very Portland in the best way.
To put a cherry on top, the prices are reasonable.
Parking: Neighborhood parking. Decent chance you'll end up a couple blocks away. Depends on day and time.

Ok. Hands down the best Philly Cheesesteak in Portland. Actually got a few photos before I tore it apart, along with some cheese fries. Please come out for breakfast and Eagles Football (GO BIRDS ???) during football season. Hope to see you here!!! Also need some Tastykakes, Goldenberg's Peanut Chews, Scrapple for the breakfast menu (Casey's ideas?), Hanks sodas (Franks is long gone), and some hometown Philly vibes. They also have WXPN streaming on the airwaves. 'Nuff said...??
