You used to be able to find hospitality everywhere in Sellwood. If you miss that feeling, stop on by and visit Ben at the Moreland Ale House. He is hospitable and genuine and generous.Need more? Food is great, awesome selection of bevvies, and they have plenty of screens for games, trivia nights, etc.

Good food. Burgers were good. Great service from a helpful, friendly bartender. Seems like a great place but the bar was freezing cold and a lot of people were complaining. Not a great place to relax and watch a game. The alcohol wouldn’t even warm you up. It seems like regular customers were surprised by the conditions so I’ll give the place another shot. I heard the bartender apologize and say it was only temporary. Honestly, her demeanor and customer service are the main reasons I’ll return.

Good food but the restaurant felt like an icebox. I heard fellow customers complaining also during my visit. Everyone was wearing jackets just to stay warm. Several said this was normal. The one redeeming factor in the restaurant was the bartender. Friendly and efficient, she kept the customers happy regardless of the circumstances in the bar. She seems out of place in a place that seems to be run terribly.
