I had a nice quiet evening here with wonderful sushi and appetizers. The price was decent and the food was straight forward and delicious. I will be coming back!

Alright, this place is one of the best if not the best sushi places I have been too!
I actually kind of like the no mess around order and pay at the kiosk and then wait for your food. Found that very convenient.
They have self serve water but after I sat a few minutes a waiter brought me some cold water which was nice.
Started with a bowl of miso soup which tasted slightly different than I’ve had before but it was really good, not lacking in flavor at all.
I tried pickled mackerel sushi, salmon roll, albacore roll and creamy scallop sushi. They were all fresh and delicious but whats even better is that the rolls were huge. And I don’t just mean with a lot of rice either. They were great size and filling. Loved the options they had, everything was wonderful!

Great food and service! Service was friendly and the food was brought to us in a timely manner. We got the chirashi bowl, salmon roll, gyoza, yaki onigiri, and the chicken skewer. Everything was perfectly fresh and delicious! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good, fresh Japanese food in Portland.

Our server was nice and all, but we were the only customers in the whole place just before dinner time, yet the food still took forever to come out. We only ordered 2 things.
I also made the mistake of ordering the Katsu— and for something categorized as a “Specialty” on their menu, it was the lousiest chicken katsu I ever had. Super thin cutlet with barely any meat, dry, and overall a disappointment. Don’t waste your money on the Katsu… it’s far from special.

Miso soup had frozen tofu in it. Shrimp in Oregon roll was partially frozen and totally wrong (no salmon at all and it had shrimp, which was not in the description). Our order was all wrong. Not going back here again.

This place was all around disappointing. My mom sister and I all didn't enjoy our food and got something we didn't order. My teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki sauce, my mom's shrimp tempura was actually coconut shrimp and my sister got sushi that she couldn't even eat. I also called ahead of time and asked if they had outdoor seating and they said they did but when we got there they did not. We wasted like $75. Even the miso soup was weird.
A personalized experience! On a Monday night it was pretty quiet so we got very personal experience. The hamachi and scallop were top notch, excellent texture and flavor. Saba was unusually seared which was a very pleasant twist! Reasonable prices and don't be afraid to ask for off menu items, you might get lucky. A bit of a loft warehouse vibe, instead of the usual kitschy decor so a welcome change. Check out the blackboard wall for specials!! Thank you, chef, for the little omakase treats! That miso/sesame/scallion/snapper bite was both delicious and fun!
