I absolutely love My Vice. I live around the corner and have been in a few dozen times over the last year or so. Great little covered and heated patio to sit with my dog. The staff are always very friendly and super attentive. They usually come out with a dog treat and a bowl of water before I get seated. Then it's bloody Mary time. The food is always spot on. The breakfast dumplings are no joke and I don't know what it is about their beef but it's top notch. They've been doing dinner service on Fridays for a while now and the menu is awesome.Vegetarian options: They usually have a variety of vegetarian optionsParking: Parking lot on the side of building holds about 8 to ten vehicles

What an excellent place for brunch! I had read reviews online about My Vice as a great place for brunch - and these reviews weren't wrong. The outside of the establishment doesn't look like anything special, but the food and service were awesome. It's a smaller place, but clean and cozy. I ordered an Eggs Benedict that was perfectly prepared. Meal portions are large and we found ourselves taking home leftovers. I definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future.

First time here but will be returning! Bloody Mary was great and so was our server and food! I had the Nest with a side of hollandaise. Go and give them your money! ?

The origins of the name of this pub-like lunch and breakfast restaurant are not known to me. I have had Friday lunch here for nearly 6 years on a regular basis. Just before the Covid plague, the previous restaurant closed and my vice opened. It stayed open, unlike many of the nearby restaurants, during the plague, and eventually flourished. The chef — whom I have not met — is an unlikely burley fellow who is one of the most creative cooks I have had the pleasure of sampling his menu. The creativity is remarkable, especially considering the limited menu of a breakfast lunch type of restaurant. The names of his dishes alone are worth the visit. He also succeeds in keeping the costs down, which makes the decision to drop in a much easier one. It has a full bar with excellent, equally creative, cocktails, and very limited, but well-chosen wines. The service is remarkable, and the waitresses greet me by name when I come in. Totally unnecessary, but totally pleasurable. Every dish recommended below I have had at least twice and sometimes as many as five times. The average, huge, main dish is about $15-$17.Vegetarian options: I am not familiar with the vegetarian options, but there appear to be plenty available and look to be delicious.Parking: 9 Parking places just outside the restaurant as well as street parking nearby.Kid-friendliness: There are not a lot of children there, but it is a friendly, public atmosphere that welcomes kids. They all seem to have a good time. And the servers are more than welcoming to everyone.

I've been to My Vice for brunch a couple times now and it's hands down my favorite brunch in Portland. It's the kind of place you want to go to every weekend but also want to take your friends when they come to visit from out of town. They stay pretty busy but if you get there right when they open, you can get a table and be in and out in an hour. As for the food, everything's good. Literally. The breakfast dumpling is my favorite. It's got flaky pastry on the outside with egg and meat or veggie protein inside. Their breakfast potatoes are really well seasoned. The hash with spicy sausage is flavorful. Their gravy is really good, and I consider myself a gravy snob. The biscuits are sky high and flaky. This is starting to sound like a love letter so I'll stop now. Suffice it to say, My Vice is not to be missed.

Phenomenal brunch!! We showed up at 1pm and got the heated patio to ourselves, which is nice for COVID-conscious folks like us. Every plate was perfect; the bread pudding came out before the entrees, but it didn’t matter, it was all SO GOOD!! Cocktails were super flavorful + unique. Small but decent tap list. Will definitely be back for another late brunch!! ????

This place had the best alcoholic coffee drink I have ever had! The food was wonderful everything sounded good. I wanted to try it all. The waitress was awesome! They had cool art for sale everywhere, it was just a little chilly so dress warm if it’s under 50 out.

Bit cramped and chaotic, especially with how loud if got. That being said, excellent food and service. Definitely a fun Portland spot to bring out of towners too.

My only complaint is not having known about this establishment sooner. It’s a challenge finding weekday brunch that also serves alcohol, and My Vice checks all the boxes. The menu offers a wide variety of brunch dishes and drinks to suit any mood- the shrimp & grits were so savory and flavorful. The fun boozy coconut iced coffee and the mimosa with caramelized pineapple juice were delicious twists. Funky, yet super homey vibe, service is friendly, helpful, efficient. Will definitely return.

Sometimes, when you are having a bad day, all you really need is a couple of mimosas and some light flaky biscuits slathered in butter and jam to make everything better. This place gets BUSY on the weekends. I'd say it's worth the wait. I live about a mile away, so we rode over, checked in with the host, found out it would be about 45 min, so we did a couple of errands and came back and got our spot. Food is hearty, tasty and creative. Very satisfying. The folks working here are always friendly. There are many interesting things on the wall to purchase. Oh, if you come midweek, sometime after 1pm you'll walk right in and get a table and it's very quiet, if you are looking for a less raucous experience.

Solid somewhat unassuming breakfast/brunch spot that I randomly dropped by with a friend to try! This place is great for a mix of meat and vegetarian options and had a handful of vegan options sprinkled in as well. We went on a random weekday around brunch so didn't need to contend with a crowd, woohoo! Also upside is that they have a little parking lot for their business so that was a great perk. It is a lil petite though so probably fills up during busier hours. We were both feeling pretty savory so my friend got The Nest (potato cake topped with all the goods) and I went with the Cowboy Dan (corn chips topped with soyrizo instead of chicken -- aka I had nachos for lunch but it was delicious. We also split a soyrizo breakfast dumpling. Food wise everything was good minus the dumpling which I honestly did not enjoy too much? Something about the taste was just a taaad bit off so I wasn't the biggest fan. We both enjoyed our food and were curious about drinks but opted to grab some other treats after so skipped those. Overall, the interior is quirky, service was friendly, and the food was solid. Swing by if you're having a hankering for breakfast/brunch goods and have a mixed group of dietary needs.

These amazing folks catered our wedding out in Pacific City this last weekend and it was absolutely, hands down, the best catering I have ever had. A beautiful radicchio and purple daikon Caesar salad with cornbread croutons, roasted squash served on Moroccan spiced puréed lentils with a yogurt sauce, grilled chicken thighs with chimichurri and Parmesan polenta with braised beef (which was dreamy, we took some home and are eating it for dinner tonight).Between my current career in music and my past working in catering, I have worked 100s of weddings and tried almost every catering company in Portland. My Vice is hands down my favorite and should I ever host another event, they will be my go to for delicious vibe setting meals. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had My Vice cater our wedding on the coast after attending a good friends wedding and being made aware of this astounding spot. We never tired of our nearest and dearest stopping to tell us about how amazed they were by the food. I am a musician who has played or attending hundreds of weddings and this is the best food I’ve had at an event of any kind. EverAdditionally, they were a treat to work and plan with and the serving staff were on par with any great restaurant. Very attentive and helpful. Our wedding was a short ceremony and a family style dinner with about 40 people, so the dinner was the majority of the evening. My Vice absolutely made our wedding exactly what we hoped it would be.Superb!

Didn’t get a chance to snag a photo of our meal for the review because it looked so good and we were so hungry!! My wife and I are in town from Ohio and fly out here soon, so this was our last Portland meal until we find ourselves back here. What a delicious meal it was! I got the shrimp and grits and it was 10/10. My wife got the soup of the day- broccoli cheddar and a house salad, she loved them both. We also had mimosas to celebrate the trip and those were obviously very tasty.Highly recommend!
