Every time I visit, the food is consistently fresh and full of flavor. The restaurant has a charming European vibe that makes for a cozy dining experience. I love their small plates, perfect for sharing and trying a bit of everything. Highly recommend for a relaxed, delicious meal with friends.

Amazing food. Pork was smoky delicious. Gratin awesome. We ordered some greens, but unfortunately they forgot to bring them out for us so we didn’t get to taste those.

Good vibes, nice place, straightforward service, kitschy ordering paper-based system has clever formatting and is better than QR. I’m pretty sure music was not playing ?Great roast beef artwork upon entering. Outdoor seating available. Carefully selecting food/wine on one’s own works out well, I imagine. Dinner tasting menu value is relatively good ($85 plus tip for food and wine without dessert) given quantity and vibes but dishes weren’t too good typically and they were too big, leaving no room for dessert. Was served specials mostly. Pretty surprised by the large number of poor/average dishes but had a good time. The white wines were too sweet, the red was pretty good, the wines matched the food, the rabbit pate was really good, the chicken (with a pretty good, funky sauce that went well with bread) was pretty good, and the green tomatoes in pesto were good. Review based on one visit. Only one plate was inedible

Feels like the European country side
Wow, this was a huge disappointment. I really wanted to love this place after a friend hyped it up, but the food was so bland. We went for the tasting menu with wine pairings, and out of ten dishes, only the chicken and steak were any good. There were several dishes that were just inedible (the broccoli was practically raw!). Usually, I hate to knock a local spot, but this was a major letdown. There are so many amazing restaurants in Portland, so if you’re looking, look elsewhere.

One of Portland’s best kept secrets. European small plates that aren’t that small. Everything is excellent, including the wine list. Amazing value, too. Unpretentious and delicious every time.

This place is amazing! Everything is fresh, local and delicious. I was bowled over by the selection. Plenty of choices for any appetite or type of diet. You can stop in for a nibble or a full course meal.
Vegetarian options: The majority of our dinner was vegetarian and vegan

Stopped into Navarre for the first time hoping to have a glass of wine and spend a little time prior to a later dinner reservation elsewhere.
We were able to grab a bar seat looking into the kitchen, as we were pre-dinner rush. Much to my delight, I discovered that they have quite the selection of wines available by the glass. Easily could have selected at least 20 different glass pours and been quite happy. As it was, we selected a bottle of Aligote that had just been added to the list and it was just what we were hoping for.
Although, we had an upcoming dinner, the quality of the small plates leaving the kitchen piqued our interest and curiosity demanded we try the turnip and pear salad. Raw turnips and pears sliced thin on a mandolin and dressed with a little olive oil and vinegar proved to be a most refreshing and pleasant small plate.
Service was attentive, kind and helpful. The chefs were on point, turning out great plates. We will definitely be back to take a deeper dive into the menu.
Highly recommended. Plenty of GF options available, while not necessarily Celiac friendly.

One of our all time favorite restaurants ever. You can eat as much or as little as you want. A million options for many diets and TONS of vegetables. Everything is always seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wait staff are so friendly and helpful navigating the menu and the wines. Cute tables both inside and out.

One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten, hosted by a staff that was indifferent to the point of passive aggression.
I arrived, with a cane and a walking boot, and inquired about seating outside or by the window. I was told that neither were available for a party of 2, and it would be a 45 minute wait.
Instead I was directed to a table that was shoehorned into a doorway between Navarre and the neighboring business. I’m not a huge person, I obviously had mobility issues, and with only 3 indoor tables occupied, there were many other options. There was literally not enough elbow room to eat comfortably while a dozen other tables sat empty.
We requested another table and one would have thought we had done something egregious. I asked again about window options and was told those were reserved for parties of four. Minutes later, two young women were seated at the window table I had asked about, but was denied.
The host and the server (who was old enough to know better) were inattentive, abrupt, and arrogant.
In the end they started clearing our table and delivered the bill while we were still eating. The restaurant was still mostly empty.
The food was fantastic, but the front-of-house was abysmal.
If I’m paying $200 for dinner for two, don’t act like you’re doing me the favor. Do your job like the service professional you’re supposed to be. If you don’t respect your profession, do something else.
Incredible food, served with unbelievable attitude.
Don’t bother unless you want a special occasion dampened by lousy service and worse attitudes.
Wheelchair accessibility: Based on my experience while wearing a boot and using a cane, I’d urge anyone with accessibility issues to stay away.

Food was well prepared. Multiple menus items not available. I would go back but earlier in the day. Beet salad, hanger steak, gratin potatoes, cauliflower were made with care.
