This place is actually a hidden gem if you are looking for a 90’s style Chinese American restaurant.If you get the noodle dishes there’s an authentic Smokey flavor you only get from a fiery hot wok and you even get nice bits of char. The way they cook and season just seems old school and hard to find.Get the noodle dishes like Lo mien or chow fun.

Ordered both the #3 & the #6 both were no more than $14 for HUGE portions. The #3 alone had 4 crab puffs ( usually $9 for just this ) pork fried rice, AND a full order of general taos chicken. No the location isn’t the best but we are in Portland and it’s really not any worse than Gresham anymore. The bathrooms were clean the restaurant was clean inside and the woman at the counter was very kind even with 4 different takeout orders and a family dinning inside. This was our first time here but we will be back ?

Ordered food from here off Grubhub saw lots of great reviews the food was terrible the worse general tso i have ever had could not even finish my severing mushy sweet no spice sesame beef had better flavor but also tasted burnt fried shrimp was soggy dripping with oilThe fried rice and eggroll were the only good items I do not recommend coming here

I just realized that I have been ordering from here for 15 years and haven't left a review. Absolutely shameful because New Happy Fortune is GREAT if you are in the mood for really good, hot, classic American Chinese food at a reasonable price. Really good portions and very delicious.This is my order every time and it's great: Vegetable Lo Mein, Sesame Beef, and Sweet and Sour Pork. They include Steamed Rice with this order for no extra charge. My wife got Sweet and Sour Chicken tonight by mistake and I swear it was just as good if not better than the pork!I know lots of people use delivery services for this place because I see them in droves when I go get my order but I encourage you to call in your order and go pick it up yourself. It's alot of fun sitting there watching the orders ahead of you go through and making small talk with Jenny. Make sure you request hot mustard and soy sauce. Mix them both together and dip your food in it. Soooo good if you like spice.This is a great local business that I will continue to support as long as we are both around. Okay, I am going back for seconds.
I ordered food from them thru Uber eats and had it delivered.BBQ PORK WAS MELT IN YOUR MOUTH AMAZING!! Big portions, good price. Only thing that I didn't totally love, was the fried shrimp. They were a little bit tough and the batter was hard. They probably would have been a lot better if they hadn't been getting cold during the delivery etc. other than that everything was excellent

If you want food that's terrible and sweet and sour pork thats one piece of chicken with a bunch of dough balls then go for it. I'd go somewhere else like a bakery for the sweet and sour

The WORST Chinese food I have ever had. And I do not typically write reviews - like maybe once per year. Just felt like I had to say, look at all the review sites, YELP, GOOGLE, TRIP ADVISOR etc. Unfortunately, my friend who ordered our dinner did not look closely at the reviews, and my Saturday evening dinner was a bust. Not kidding, didn't even want to give this gristley *ss Mongolian beef to my pups....and didn't. Description of friend's shrimp and vegetables was not good but she was able to get down about ten bites.....I got down ZERO. Spit all three bites out....and that is not me.....I'll eat just about anything that's edible, especially if I've spent my hard earned money on it. Proceed at your peril.
