This cafe is the tits, love the basement dungeon workspace, the quirky, sassy baristas, and the delish coffee. And not to show my white half but this cafe has the best PSL in the biz. Highly recommend going if you like things that are good.

Do not go here if you are allergic to dairy or are vegan, cross contamination is guaranteed. I watched two orders with plant based milk get put on the same steamer as whole milk without being cleaned off. When asking the staff they didn't seem concerned?

Such a great space!

After eyeing the pastries, I had the everything seasoning galette which had a savory cream cheese middle - delicious and warmed up for me. Also had a latte with oat milk I’m not picky about.

Lovely to have 3 areas of seating - outside, inside small tables near the counter, and then the inner room with some comfy booths. I met with a group of 5 new creative friends and then stayed after for some journaling time and took two calls while sitting outside.

There was also a vintage tv playing Avatar: The Last Airbender. Cherry on top!

Thank you for the hospitality, looking forward to coming back!

A favorite Portland coffee shop. Unpretentious, non-trendy, super kind staff, incredible baristas (the milk is like a microfoam velvet cloud).

The seating room is so cozy and feels private, a great place to work or hang out with friends. They have padded booths, not wonky wooden tables with no space - actual diner booths!

If anyone has read Before the Coffee Gets Cold, this is how I imagine the basement cafe.

Super cozy coffee shop. I got an Ube Blossom Latte ($7.50/medium) and a Coconut Cream Latte ($7.50/medium). The Ube Blossom latte was delicious but the coconut cream didn't taste like coconut at all even when you get to the bottom of your cup. Basically, you pay $7.50 for a regular latte.

Got the Ube Blossom Latte with oat milk and it was phenomenal - beautiful presentation and tasty!! Staff is super friendly and helpful and the space is very inviting to sit down and spend some time.

They're very passionate about their coffee and it shows! Both the pour over and drip coffees were very tasty. Lots of seating space too.

Best neighborhood coffee shop around. If you’re a coffee nerd, go here - they offer interesting and delicious coffees that rotate seasonally. If you’re a fun milky girlie or bevvy boi, check out their seasonal specials made from scratch, by the baristas!
Everyone is a coffee professional and the artwork is local, too. This is what Portland is about when people think coffee in Portland.

Their iced guava matcha is the best matcha combination I’ve had. Creative well executed drinks, friendly service, and comfy seating.
