Looking for spicy chai in Portland has proven to not be an easy challenge. Asking the wonderful person at the counter if their chai is on the spicy side or the sweet side she has mentioned that it’s DEFINITELY on the spicy side. I’ve processed by ordering a large size chai just to find out that it is EXTREMELY sweet. All and all wonderful place with a great atmosphere and staff, however, not a place I’d recommend for spicy chai at all.
I recently visited a different Nossa Familia Coffee location, and it exceeded my expectations. The cozy atmosphere and friendly baristas create the perfect environment for either a quick coffee stop or a relaxing afternoon. Their espresso drinks are always perfectly balanced—rich and smooth without any bitterness. Lovely coffee, we were visiting Portland for a few days. My son had to attend an online meeting so we stopped here, my Bee Sting Latte was great, my son’s mocha Fogo was good too. Nobody told us our coffees were ready on the counter, so we kept waiting at the table while my son started with his meeting, the people behind counter were busy chatting with each other.
