Every time I am in Portland I stop in at Nostrana for a delish meal, service is always great and the food is exceptional. Great by the glass wine list and knowlegable staff.

Food was incredible, particularly the pasta with goat cheese. Ben our waiter was outstanding. Would 100% recommend, and will definitely be returning.

We all loved the dinner. From the decor to the waiter to the food it was a great experience. We would def go back and tell others to try. So glad we were able to get reservation.

I used to enjoy Nostrana, and I found the found the food enjoyable, though not exceptional. I'd say the food has declined and the prices have increased. I had the pasta meatball Monday special. I assumed a special would be special, but the meatballs were dry and over seasoned for my taste. I didn't eat them all. The half-chicken was dry. Son did not enjoy it. My wife's trout was bland and not particularly special. Overall, an uninspired meal by chefs who have clearly lost the lust for quality and carefully prepared food.

Happy hour is a good deal, ambiance is great. Reservations recommended, it's busy even after (especially, some nights) 8:30-9pm.

We arrived without a reservation, and the restaurant was bustling with activity. Despite the crowd, we were promptly seated at the bar, which turned out to be the best decision of the evening. From start to finish, the service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuine.

The cocktails were expertly crafted, each sip a perfect balance of flavor and creativity. The food was nothing short of extraordinary—every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, clearly made with the utmost care and fresh ingredients.

What truly stood out was the atmosphere: warm, welcoming, and effortlessly accommodating. We left not only feeling well-fed but genuinely valued as guests. It was an unexpected but truly delightful experience that exceeded all expectations. A dining experience like this is rare, and we can’t wait to return.

Be forewarned: they charge you an automatic service fee, which is fine, but then there’s the option of an additional tip. I didn’t add another tip because of the built-in service charge but the server tipped herself $20 anyway, even though I never signed the additional tip, and had dispute it with credit card company. Check your statement.

Food was totally mediocre - service was low tier - oh here’s your overpriced food bill and tack on 22% for the lazy lousy service - if you want to pay your workers higher give them a higher wage out of your profit margins not mine -

22% automatic service charge- food was not worth the price- service was well below the 22% charge - cheap owners try to pass off paying their employees well - boycott all places that mandate a service charge
