Food is always top notch! Service has gone downhill since Covid. Be careful, they charge auto gratuity regardless of party size and have increased it from 20% to 22% - recently.Either way, the food is worth it. Just don’t be surprised when the bill comes.

3/29/24 update: Went back there because of a request. Found the food to be even more over priced and the rotisserie chicken (@$40+with mandatory tip) was completely bland. I told our party that the Costco $5 chicken is much more flavorful. And still they have the 22% mandatory service charge for any size party and then they ask you for a tip).Original review: The food was fine (nothing special) but overpriced. In addition, if they are going to charge a 22% service charge and then ask for tips on top of that then why not just include the 22% in the price.

In a nutshell: don’t go here; they are total wannabes and I totally felt embarrassed that I suggested for us to go to this place with my fam and in laws. Food is not tasty and it’s overall pretentious. Food was awful and bland; no one bothered to season or taste the dishes before going out. Ordered the spaghetti, the pizza with clams, pizza w/pepperoni & sausage, steak, and the radish dish. All were bland besides the steak & that was only cuz each piece of steak had slices of garlic on them and I’m a fan of garlic .1. Pizza with clams & pizza with sausage & pepperoni - total flop house with no undercarriage; it totally flopped (look at pic I uploaded) and was so oily. There was no real flavor besides olive oil and grease. I thought their pizzas would be nice and perfectly made cuz of their amazingly expensive and beautiful oven, BUT it wasn’t; the pizza couldn’t even hold itself up like it was still raw.2. Spaghetti - noodles in olive oil and parsley and was totally bland.3. Radish dish - bland, no seasoning beasides being sweated in a pan. No one tasted this before going out cuz it was lacking in effort and care. When I told the staff person about my experience their only response was “everyone has the right to their own opinion” and that was it. Atmosphere is good, but that’s it.It was confusing because the place was crowded but then after trying the food I didn’t understand why there are so many people there. The decor is good but the what bothered me was after I told the staff person about my experience they didn’t seem to care at all and then stated “everyone has the right to their own opinion”, telling me that that person didn’t care and thought I was wrong. Also confusing because their menu says they serve pizza traditionally like in Italy…Italians would be personally insulted by this pizza if people were to say this represents their REAL authentic food.

Absolutely delicious food! Dining at the restaurant was a delight from start to finish. I wish they would open early and stay open until around 11

We were pleased our request to move our patio reservation inside to the main dining room was possible. Our table of three started with a lovely Barbera, charcuterie and cheese. Flavors were exceptional for the grilled pork sausage, crispy coppa di testa and porchetta di testa! The gouda and prosciutto were the ideal companions. The Bistecca, presented on a bed of arugula was prepared perfectly. The Gnocchi alla Romana with mozzarella and porcinis melted in your mouth. Parmigiana mashed potatoes were creamy and delightful with the crispy prosciutto though ideally needed a temperature boost before serving. The tiramisu was the ideal closer for another fantastic meal at Nostrana!

I understand you can't help the temperature outside but if you're going to have the bar side you need to figure out how to keep the heat flowing. It's unacceptable for a bougie restaurant like yours, to charge the amount you do for your food - which the food is amazing but to have your guests so uncomfortable during their dining experience, need to wear a down jacket to stay warm, is not ideal. You either need to remodel the space to include a hallway so that your guests don't come in and out the front door or you need to invest in better heating. Or if you're going to seat guests on that side you need to discount your product to make it worth while.

Mist authentic Neapolitan Pizza in town.

My favorite Italian restaurant in PDX by a mile. The service, food, and wine is always top notch. I’m partial to the pastas over the pizzas (never been a huge fan of Neapolitan pizza), but the salads, sides and entrees are also amazing. The steak with arugula and olive oil is probably one of my favorite bites in the city.Do NOT skip dessert—the tiramisu and budino are to die for.

Came here on a Friday night and the restaurant was at capacity. Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. We tried the two salads they had as an appetizer and really liked them. The roasted chicken was also great! Overall, really liked the vibe and decor of this

We came here to eat for a company party and the food was absolutely amazing! We ordered the radiccio and wedge salad, fungui and mozzarella pizza, blue trout & potatoes, and butterscotch dessert, topped with two glasses of red wine. I also tried someone else's chocolate cake and it was amazing. We loved it here and they also allowed us to bring in a newborn and we reserved a back room. The ambience and lighting was also perfect.
