My Oriechiette dish and the house red wine were delightful. The foccacia bread was a real disappointment. It's really just a white bread cut into thick pieces. Service was good, but she forgot to get our second round of drinks. My friend's pizza, potato was a bit of a miss. Not horrible, but nothing great. Maybe a different pizza would have been better.
I’ve driven by this place so many times; for as long as it’s been open. In a pinch, we stopped in for a quick dinner. It was exceptional. Pizza was top notch. Caesar salad was great. Drinks were fresco. Will be back for sure!
Definitely visit them. We really enjoyed this place. There was, no joke, a large Italian family (kids, grandparents, the whole deal) at the table next to us chatting away in Italian, which speaks volumes to the authenticity here. This is not American-ized Italian food, but rather is the real deal. I had the lasagna which was amazing and my wife had some strange pasta that has a texture like mash potatoes that I don't remember the name. She loved it. It wasn't for me. They have pizza too, so we'll need to go back and try that.Prices are not cheap, but fair. Portions are not huge but you are trading a bit of volume for really great quality. We were plenty full after a great visit and then wandered to the plaza across the street for ice-cream which accentuated a great night. They also have a full bar and tons of wine.
Parking: Easy parking around back.
Awesome local Italian restaurant, it's walkable for us. We moved to Hillsdale during peak COVID and had only had takeout until fairly recently. Takeout was pretty good but now we have eaten at the restaurant 3 times we are more than impressed. It has become a go-to when we have guests visiting.
Kid-friendliness: In our recent warm weather there were kids (and dogs) on the back patio.
Parking: Plenty of parking behind the restaurant
Wheelchair accessibility: Looks like it would be easy for someone using a walker or wheelchair to get from car to table.
Wow. I’m a jaded Italian fan, and this was a magnificent sleeper. I’ll be back very soon to see if I can repeat the experience of a basically perfect Italian dinner.Atmosphere is “good”, but the food was fantastic.
The roasted garlic pizza with lemon zest and arugula is truly one of my favorite things. The combination of flavors is outstanding. The olive oil cake for dessert is also quite delicious. This is a lovely neighborhood restaurant.
The hostess, Elizabeth, made us feel very welcome. Our server, Brian, provided detailed information about the menu items and was very attentive, even though they were very busy and apparently had a few "hiccups" in the kitchen. We had the salad, tomato based soup, risotto, and lasagna, all of which were very good.
Innovative and absolutely dynamite Italian restaurant in a clean modern space. Very well curated drink and main food menu with excellent wood-stone pizza. Desserts are home made. The menu is small but you really can't go wrong here. It's also way more reasonably priced than other Italian restaurants in the area.
We sat at the bar, because the house was full. This was fabulous, because we got to chat with the owner who is the bartender, bread baker, and inspiration for all the dishes. It was a relaxed atmosphere, incredibly tasty food, and creative cocktails. We kept seeing delicious wood-fired pizzas being brought to other customers, so we ordered a Margherita to go for our lunch the next day. We highly recommend and will return.
Absolutely Incredible!Fantastic area with a wonderful surrounding view. Oak & Olive is a unique restaurant with a menu that seems to have something for everyone. Pro Tip: Order the Roasted Carrot Ravioli. You've never had anything like it and it will blow you away! Phenomenal experience. Be sure to check it out!

Had a great dinner here last weekend. The food and drinks were great! The chef was also out talking with some tables and stopped to chat for a minute. It was a very nice experience over all. Will definitely be going back
Great service, and even better food. We visited Portland recently, and this place is a gem. The risotto with shrimp was amaaaazing. I don’t ever leave reviews, but had to this time, because this place is SO GOOD.
Always expecting run-of-the-mill with Italian. This defied and exceeded our expectations. Crostini and smoked tomato butter. Bomb. Seasonal bruschetta with roasted snow peas and asparagus. Ah-mazing. Pizza. Perfect. And lamb pasta. Cooked to perfection with surprising and well balanced heat and flavors. Even though we worked our way well through the menu, we decided to get cheesecake to go. Great decision as well. Service on point. Will be hard not to go back today.
The food is good enough, better than the next door options for pizza. The owner, however, is very rude to her staff. I will never go back.
I love tapas! I might even go as far as saying it's my favorite type of food. Naturally, I have high expectations whenever I visit any tapas place in the city. Boqueria certainly lived up to my expectations. The food tastes like authentic Spanish tapas and that make me so so happy.
