So glad we tried this place out - the food is delicious and the service was fantastic! The decor is definitely on the eclectic and fun side.
We tried the following:
1) Roti canai - it's like an indian paratha with some dips on the side. Flaky and crispy.
2) Crispy eggplant chaat - highly recommend. 5/5. I couldn't believe it was tofu yoghurt.
3) Tamarind mala fried chicken - another dish that hit the spot.
Would definitely go back the next time we are visiting Portland.

The food and cocktails are excellent, but what prompted me to write this review was how helpful our server was accommodating food allergies. It makes a huge difference when we can enjoy our meal without worrying about that. And the food is excellent!
Friendly and welcoming service. The food was different than anything else I have had. Everything had so much flavor. Delicious!
We ordered the fixed menu (Oma's table) for 2. Everything was exceptional, except the eggplant dish, which was tasty, but unfortunately dehydrated the eggplant into crispy chips instead of succulent slices. Curious if this is traditional or something the chef might consider. Definitely plan to return for another meal, perhaps a la carte, to try additional dishes. Overall, some of the most unique, delicious, and reasonable meals we have enjoyed in Portland.
Food and atmosphere was uniquely Portland. However, food is very Asian fusion and not just Malaysian inspired. In fact, most of the food was Chinese not Malaysian. Flavors and recipes are a little chaotic and caters to the American palate. We were seated in the “hideaway” part of the restaurant which was basically just a covered patio. So it was still pretty cold with the environment temperature of 50°.
Great service and roti at this neighborhood spot. Waygu steak was great! Bring back the corn fritters!
Flavorful and creative food! Service was impeccable and servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Cocktails were also top notch. Highly recommend.
Had a phenomenal meal here with PERFECT service. Highly recommend the tasting menu!! Can't wait to come back.

Really loved our meal, server was great, drinks were tasty, and the food was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Food was amazing. If you go in a group, make sure to do the pre-fix menu option... $65 each but you get to try one of everything!
Crazy trip to Malaysia after talking to our daughter about her future school trip there. Did the Oma Table for two which gave us a full adventure through their menu. Loved the range of flavors and challenge to our taste buds. Spicy, sour, sweet salty, savory. What an adventure right here in Portland
We had an outstanding dinner at Oma's Hideaway. We got the tasting menu and there was plenty of food. The food was spicy and well seasoned. Many of the flavors were new to us. A big shout out to Travis for explaining the menu clearly and taking good care of us. We will definitely return the next time that we are in the area.
Did not have any specifics that Shellfish was practically in EVERY dish. Made having this allergy incredibly difficult trying to dine here. Should be more transparent online here.
