Oma’s Hideaway offers tasty tapas style Malaysian and Singaporean street food (1 plate can comfortably serve 2 people). Possibly the best Roti in the city! Maybe the highlight of the night.Great for date night or a group experience.Knowledgeable staff, outdoor seating, and street parking.Be prepared to $$.Enjoy!

Expensive food served in small portions. The music was loud and I couldn't relax. We got there right at 3 when they changed to an afternoon menu that has only a few options, none of which were appealing to anyone in our group. Our party of 4 decided to get an order of curry fries to share. For $18, we got a tiny bowl of fries. Ugh. We won't be back.

I went here with my wife tonight. It is a well decorated spot. I would say the food and flavors were pretty good. Drinks were very good. However as many others noted, the price/value is the main issue. For just two of us, we spent $100 and the meal we split comprised of a tiny dish of fries, single 4” roti, 5 shrimp, small bowl of rice, and two drinks. Overall it felt like dim sum portions at whole entree prices.I don’t think I could recommend to others given the experience.

Food is awesome. Some say it's too expensive and the portions are small, and I want give you the dope.... The plates are meant to be shared. We had four people, ordered two plates per person (8 of 11 items on the menu), filled up for 190 bucks plus tip. If that's too rich for your blood, try McDonalds.

Oma's Hideaway was good, but definitely did not live up to all the hype. Our cocktails were good, but they were pretty small with lots of ice in comparison to most other craft cocktails we get. We also felt rushed through dinner. We sat down and ordered and literally had our food within 5 minutes. We ordered three items and two came at the same time in one came five minutes later. We were basically in and out for dinner within 45 minutes and we were hoping to have more of a date night out. It was a bummer to feel rushed through. I totally understand that they want to flip tables, but 45 minutes just felt way too rushed. We had the fries which were just Ok, nothing special. I had the laksa which I liked and my husband ordered the burger which he thought was mediocre. He compared it to a few other burgers that he really loves such as the burger at Toki which he said is much better

We had a group dinner with prix fixe menu. Food was good & how it’s made… a topic of group conversation. Portion size was enough as there’s no complaints from anyone. The atmosphere &’service was good as well.

This was such a fun lunch spot! I loved the outdoor seating and the food was AMAZING. Would definitely recommend the pork belly bowl and the avocado salad. YUM!!!

We have eaten here numerous times & the food & service are always really good. The issue I have with this place is that for $200 I shouldn't still be hungry when we leave. The portions this restaurant offers are extremely small. Also when the dish comes to the table it's not quite as extravagant as the description on the menu. And the food comes out at different times so by the time another dish that pair's with the first dish that makes it to the table it will be cold. Also the drinks took about half an hour to make it to the table as well & they were beers not drinks that had to be made.

Service and ambiance was excellent!!! My partner D and I came with our little dog and sat outside on a beautiful sunny spring day. We got here at 2 so we did the lunch menu, I ordered the Char Siu Pork Belly rice bowl and D got the fried fish ball cutlet sandwich. They are both really tasty! The reason for the less $ of stars is the price. There were only 4 thin pieces of char siu pork belly and just a bare handful of mustard greens. Luckily I already had a snack beforehand and wasn't super hungry. That rice bowl was $18.50. The fried fish ball cutlet sandwich was $17 and it was yummy but not worth the price. I don't think I'd be coming here again unless someone else is paying!

The food here is different and in some ways good but the super teeny tiny portions for the prices they charge are offensive. We just popped in for a quick beer and a bite in the mid afternoon. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and helpful. But when we ordered the very expensive and very small laksa $22 and an $8 can of beer we knew we were at the wrong place for us. The bartender could tell we were uncomfortable and to her credit she got us a small complimentary raita salad which was good but super small and would have cost $15 if not gratis. The thing is the laksa isn't even very authentic but it tasted pretty good for the 3-4 bites that we each got. The ambiance was nice though and if you like spending a lot of cash for very small portion inauthentic Malaysia adjacent food then this is the place for you.

The roti canai was excellent but overpriced, the corn fritters were quite good, the curry fries were fine, & the wonton mee was just okay. The noodles didn't really have flavor, the pork belly was good but, like, it's pork belly, it should be amazing. Overall this place was good but not worth the price, won't be back

Staff were wonderful, the restaurant itself was very charming. No wait on a weekend afternoon. Bathrooms were clean. However, the food was very expensive for the amount you were given and frankly did not taste very good at all. Everything tasted not seasoned at all and very sweet. It was also not hot when it arrived.
