Perfect place to have breakfast if you’re hungry, the portions are really big, if it’s two people from one portion.
Very crowded which is good thing that means that the place 👍.

Hard to believe I have lived in Portland for 20 years and have never been to the Original Pancake House. Finally did one morning and was really impressed. So many choices it was hard to decide but of course we had to get one dutch baby to try. Everything was so good and the service was stellar. It’s a busy place so expect a wait and it can get quite loud inside with all the people. Those things aside, I can’t wait to go back again and try more of the menu!

Stopped by for breakfast and waited quite a long time. Place was really busy. Not a comfortable place to sit and eat place is very small. Was excited to eat but food was ordinary. I had the peppers and cheese omelette and it was Big but bland in taste, green peppers overwhelmed the dish I ate half. Pancakes were pretty good. Coffee was old and warm. They don't serve sodas there which was odd.
About $19 dollars a plate.
Price and taste is a thumbs down for me, better places to eat in my opinion.

It's been a long time since I have had such a great breakfast. The service was amazing and my husband's Spanish Omelet was the biggest thing I have ever seen. Definitely coming back with my father-in-law.

These guys tried to block my post! I will post here and on Google cause this place is zero stars!!!
This is just a pancake house! Zero to it! Not worth the stop. Oh and don't get me started as to why they don’t serve eggs!! Haha only pancakes!! Wow! Breakfast house and no eggs!! Over priced for poor people breakfast pancakes only really!! Server just talked about being there for 25 years ok great but she too agree. They should have eggs but for 25 years they don’t! Wait for over 40 mins to just eat pancakes when outside and waiting area states eggs!! Wow!

Came for a late breakfast this past Friday and waited 45 minutes for a table for 5. The place is small and a bit tight, but the food was delicious. Definitely worth returning.

Not the most organized place for seating. Crowded. They could use a better system for communicating with those waiting outside.

Food is great. The atmosphere is chaotic and loud. We were cramped and it was to loud to her the person across the table. Difficult parking, long wait. I don't plan on going back.

First time to visit this popular pancake house. Great pancakes - and much more. We enjoyed the Corned Beef Hash, an Irish Omelette, eggs, sausage patty. They provide large portions of delicious food. Dining room is not large, so the seating is limited. This can give way to a loud noise level when full. It was full with a 35 min wait time for a four-top. Prices are on the higher side for pancakes and eggs. When I asked if there was jelly available for the pancakes, the server assured me that it was available, but did not mention the $3.50 up charge for a little serving of jelly. This seemed to be of poor service. One, it seems petty for a pancake house to upcharge for jelly a tablespoon of jelly. Two, $1.00 would be more than sufficient for such an item, while $3.50 seems excessive. And three, let me know of the upcharge. I would have simply said no thank you. To add this to my bill seemed petty for a pancake house and it cheapened our whole experience.
