Lovely female owned business. #girlpower. They make a great espresso and have great food options. Perfect location, a slice of France on Hawthorne.

Loud inside. No buffering on the ceiling or floor. Difficult to hold a conversation if multiple people are inside. Outside seating nicely shaded.

Tasty espresso at a cute shop in a trendy neighborhood. I liked how they had more than just pastries too. You can get soups and sandwiches. Friendly service.

Excellent delicious French style food, fantastic coffee and chai. The seats are not the most comfortable, they lost one star there. I am a regular there and I haven't had one bad thing. Soup is great, the baguette with jam and butter or ham and butter is also great. Cakes are also fantastic. Kid friendly and always an interesting scene

Good coffee and always something good to eat - more than pastries! They even have hard boiled eggs at the ready. The soups are really good and they sell quarts to take home. It can take some time to prepare the food - but that also means they’re using more than a microwave. And they get their baguettes from one of the best bakeries in portland!

Oui Presse coffee shop... best kept secret. Reminds me of how cafés were before Starbucks—real plates and cups. Thoughtful menu and service.

Second visit. Consistent good service and lovely atmosphere. (I love the front window counter for brunch and writing.)

Second time having the poached eggs on toast: thick-cut crusty whole-wheat bread with soft middle—a little mattress for the egg pillows ?. Perfect poached eggs: cooked whites, yolks with a honey-like consistency. Balanced seasoning, plus finishing salt flakes.

Lovely latte.

A little loud once full, due to coffee machine sounds and voices.

Great experience. Will go back for third visit.

Went in here a handful of months ago. The oatmeal was unique and a good treat for a rainy day. I tucked in here right before it started storming. The service was fine and the atmosphere was OK. Lots of shops nearby. It's worth a stop.

First of all iced latte with oat milk should not cost$7.50 before tip that’s crazy!
Second of all the place smells like dog smell ! And I was not holding any dogs in my arms !
Third day of all the worker who was serving us coffee doesn’t wash hands or doesn’t use any gloves and touches every credit card and then touches sandwiches to serve to the customers. Disgusting! ?

Airy space, incidental light, 60s instrumental music (jazz, surf guitar, a la Thievery Corp) in the background, sells moleskin journals and magazines - oh, and the cappuccino is exceptional. Perfect for conversation, reading, journal writing.
