Oui Presse coffee shop... best kept secret. Reminds me of how cafés were before Starbucks—real plates and cups. Thoughtful menu and service.

Second visit. Consistent good service and lovely atmosphere. (I love the front window counter for brunch and writing.)

Second time having the poached eggs on toast: thick-cut crusty whole-wheat bread with soft middle—a little mattress for the egg pillows ?. Perfect poached eggs: cooked whites, yolks with a honey-like consistency. Balanced seasoning, plus finishing salt flakes.

Lovely latte.

A little loud once full, due to coffee machine sounds and voices.

Great experience. Will go back for third visit.

Went in here a handful of months ago. The oatmeal was unique and a good treat for a rainy day. I tucked in here right before it started storming. The service was fine and the atmosphere was OK. Lots of shops nearby. It's worth a stop.

First of all iced latte with oat milk should not cost$7.50 before tip that’s crazy!
Second of all the place smells like dog smell ! And I was not holding any dogs in my arms !
Third day of all the worker who was serving us coffee doesn’t wash hands or doesn’t use any gloves and touches every credit card and then touches sandwiches to serve to the customers. Disgusting! ?

Airy space, incidental light, 60s instrumental music (jazz, surf guitar, a la Thievery Corp) in the background, sells moleskin journals and magazines - oh, and the cappuccino is exceptional. Perfect for conversation, reading, journal writing.

I just went for an iced coffee and a snack (the chocolate chip cookie). The coffee's flavor was a bit odd - I couldn't really taste anything. It was like everything was mixed in a way that it canceled out the flavor of the coffee, the cream, and the caramel syrup I had added. But the cookie was pretty good; not overly sweet, and even a tiny bit of a salty flavor to it. It made up for the lack of flavor in the coffee.
The service was great, and I really enjoyed the quiet, calm atmosphere. It also had great AC, which was nice for how hot it was that day!

They have THE BEST egg sandwich I have ever had IN MY LIFE!!! I've been all over the US and the world and I'm not lying. The coffee is also quite nice.

Features: Mask optional, outdoor seating.

Vegetarian options: Mostly drinks like coffee, they have poached eggs without meat.

I like to try lots of different cafes, but I keep coming back here because of the food. It's always simple and hearty, and gives off major homemade, comforting vibes. I love all the soups I've tried so far, the cookies, and especially the beans on toast! Mixed beans in a slightly sweet tomato sauce piled onto THICK toast, drizzled with olive oil. So good!

This is my favorite cafe! I've been going for years and thought I should write a review to support this great small business. The food quality is outstanding! Best soups in town, hands down. Overall the food menu is diverse and interesting but what stands out is the homemade quality. So much love goes into this food and it shows. Also, parking is always easy on this part of Hawthorne, that's a bonus. Highly recommended!

Their granola was good. I feel like I should say more than that. So many things are "good". People, days, poops, and definitely Oui Presse's granola. I'm pretty sure the poop I had after this granola was good too. Everything just pushed through so easily! I'd appreciate if more food reviewers talked about how their food affected their bowels. I'd think twice about a place's famous mac n cheese if it's going to be an ordeal on the toilet later. Anyway, I'd definitely go back to this place for the granola.
