The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional! Also, the bar was really nice, and we grabbed a drink before our time for dinner! We'll definitely come back.

The food tastes great. Not going to dive deeper than to say if you look at the menu online and the offerings appeal to you, they will not disappoint. Really good execution of cooking technique and flavor balancing.

Our meal was exceptional as always! The clam chowder is a favorite as well as the beef short ribs. Can't go wrong either with the beef salad. It is the best meal we've had until the next time we eat at Ox.

Octopus and Tripe was absolutely amazing. Never have had poached Octopus but its now the only way to do it. Perfect texture.

Oysters were locally from Washington. Very meaty and subtle ocean flavour. Shucked perfect, not a single bit of shell.

The rib eye was solid. Cooked correctly. The wood flavors from the wood stove was an awesome touch. (White Oak)

The food and drinks were great except for my ribeye steak which was a massive disappointment. For $76 in a restaurant called Ox the steak had better be phenomenal. It wasn't. The 16 oz steak, ordered medium rare, was 8oz of indedible fat and the meat was tough and under seasoned. In contrast my wife's pork chop was delicious. This was our first time at Ox but you only get one chance to make a first impression.

This has become my favorite restaurant ever since randomly finding it online. Service 10/10, food 100/10. Couldn't recommend it more!

The $76 16oz beef ribeye steak was 8oz of meat and 8oz of indedible fat and the meat was pretty tough. For a restaurant called Ox (and for the price) I expected this to be magnificent but it was a massive disappointment. Otherwise would have been a very enjoyable meal. A bummer and we are unlikely to go back.

Amazing service. Like man great service. Always taken care of. I guess the steak and short ribs went over my head or something. Was not the most flavorful nor did I feel like the quality of the meat spoke for itself. If you are not a fancy place kinda person I would not suggest.

Ox was an absolutely amazing experience. From the attentiveness and enthusiasm of our surver, to the staff that supported our table in between courses, to the amazing food and delicious steak alongside perfect cocktails, every bit of this experience was more than I expected in the best possible way. I can't wait for my next trip to Oregon... we will be returning to Ox Restaurant!

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Arrived early, but no seating at the bar and the patio was closed for a private event. Service was a little slow, but food was worth the wait. Would definitely return to try other items on the menu. Come with an empty stomach and don't pass up the potatoes.

What a great place. We slipped in without a reservation and enjoyed a great experience. The staff was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Our steaks were awesome, prepared perfectly.

One of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Creative menu, fresh ingredients, and wonderful presentation. If your looking for a memorable and exceptionally flavorful steak experience, look no further than OX.
