I’ve had two uncomfortable experiences at your business, years apart, involving one of your employees making unsolicited and judgmental comments about my clothing. Most recently, she made a sarcastic remark and gesture as I approached. I come to your business expecting respect and professionalism — not to be made to feel ashamed or targeted for how I choose to dress. I’d appreciate it if this were addressed. The employee is an elderly lady that I would take as someone drinking on the job, based on not only her body language but demeanor as well. Not to mention her unprofessional opinions on the way people dress. This is America, right?

I went in with a friend, went up to the bar to buy my buddy a drink and I needed change to play the lottery machine, gave the bartender a $100 bill, when I got my change, I put it into my pocket, I waited around 20 minutes for a machine, when I pulled my change out of my pocket, she only gave me change for a $20, I gave my friend another $100 to get another drink, when he gave her the $100, she gave him change for a $20, he had to wait for about 10 minutes for her to come back so he could get the other $80 back, when I confronted her about my $80, she remembered I did give her the $100, but did not give me my change back, I gave her my name and number, she said she would contact the owner, have not heard from them yet, this was on Christmas Eve 2024, I was there till they closed, not sure what her (the bartender) name was, sure would like my $80 back, did not know a drink would cost me $86.00, darn inflation

I was in on Saturday, Sept. 28th towards the evening after catching a flight back into Portland and stopped in for a salad. The food itself is very good and most of the employees were very nice. There was one girl I had asked for her name afterwards and the other employee told me her name was Kayla. She was not very nice and had an attitude when I asked her about having a certain dressing. She asked me if I was blind and could I not see that wasn't an option. I apologized and explained I have impaired vision so couldn't read well without my glasses that were packed away in my luggage still. She proceeded to roll her eyes and scoff at me and hurry me along. She was very unkempt looking as well and not someone I wanted handling my food to begin with but then the attitude made it worse. I bought my salad, took a few bites and while it was good I couldn't get the taste of the bad situation to leave my mouth so I ended up throwing it away and waiting to eat once I left the airport. It's crazy how one bad employee can ruin things for one great food establishment.

Most of the employees here are great! There's just one girl who sits on her phone constantly, doesn't ask if you need anything and sometimes won't even look up when you enter. Patty and the newer guy are the best though. Always make me feel welcome, very friendly and very kind.

Food was very good! Had a delicious bowl-greens very fresh, enjoyed the cashews and feta! But workers were discussing some personal life things.
Just moved to the island, wanted to check the place out. Waited a few minutes while the elderly woman served someone a soda (it’s only 10:40pm at this point) kindly waited at the counter as she walked passed us. She then proceeded to laugh at my boyfriend point at him and say “i’m not serving you” we said im sorry why? She sounded drunk and was very unprofessional. She proceeded to say you’ve already had drinks i’m a stickler go else where. (Mind we haven’t had any drinks yet and we’re highly confused.) As someone that lives here on the island and wanted to support a local place we will not be back. Went to the bar next door and was served kindly. Please make sure your bartenders aren’t drinking while working, it’s poor business. Anyways Anchors is a way better vibe ??

This WAS my favorite airport restaurant. They no longer mix the ingredients in a bowl prior to putting it in the container. On a small airline seat it is difficult to mix a salad. Also, the bacon was real bacon now replaced with bacos. Disappointing.

I had a rice bowl. Some of the rice was dry and crunchy and there was way to much (salty) teriyaki sauce. I might try a wrap sometime, but I won't order another rice bowl there.
